Thanks everyone for the Endorsements and making this mod appear in the hot files! The tin can performance issues that are happening for some users will be addressed in the next update. As well as a another quest.
****UPDATE**** Version 1.1 is done. It significantly reduces the amount of tin cans in certain areas, fixed the bug preventing you from repairing the Gunner's X-01 Power Armor, and adds several new areas to explore with an additional quest to complete after restoring the home.
To start the quest, make sure you have restored the home, then either read the book that is now located on one of the End Tables in the Master Bedroom, or simply head through the newly created car tunnel just outside of the home. It is highly recommended you start with a clean save or new game because I altered a lot of areas and scripts and I tested it on a new game and it worked perfectly. Hope you enjoy "Oakland Hills", I sure had fun building it and playing through it myself :-)
Absolutely amazing so far. I wish we had America Rising Integration though like High Command giving us a quest to lead us on the right track. It fits to the overall topic.
I have not completed everything yet, but so far, I would not say this is a little quest mod. This is a great quest mod, maybe mid-size or bigger, but definitely not little. So far, there are three distinct areas.
Spoiler:
Show
monorail system, wilkys estate, and then some small town.
not sure if there is more, as I have not completed it yet, but there is definitely quite a bit going on. Great job sir, this is definitely something I am keeping in my order. The estate is awesome.
Does this mod, by chance, replace any textures or remove any textures, like bgsm files or the like? There have been a couple locations, repeatable, that I get CTDs.
So, come to find out, it seemed to be something with the BA2 archive limit. Downloading X Cell and changing the option to allow more BA2 archive limit fixed the missing BGSM issues. My thoughts are because the system couldn't adequately check the archives and the coding in X Cell allowed it to bypass the issue. Therefore, I can play my game again without having to unpack or pack BA2 archives. If you seem to be getting random BGSM file missing errors, try X Cell, change the option to allow more BA2 archives, increasing the limit, and see if that solves your problem.
Awesome story that seemlessly led me on from one point to the next. Quite enjoyable and even better, worked perfectly for the story I have going on in my head!
Also works perfectly, at least in my head cannon, with Lima Detachment.
Once again, MrColonelMustard has created a masterful "must have" mod.
Very enjoyable experience. I loved the atmospheric lighting inside the facility, especially since I had The Feral Ghoul Expansion Pack Tanks mod installed. I had to pause for once for what lurked around the corner. I'd recommend investing in your strenght skill so that you can carry all the copious amounts of loot with you. 10/10 mod would play again
That was such an adventure! From running across the commonwealth to delving into a nest of baddies to the ultimate reward. Very good mod. So many aluminum tins. So. Much. Ammo! Triple thumbs up.
The only 'bug' I encountered is when I did the clean up option and was sent outside the mansion, my companions all disappear. And they don't reappear until I entered the elevator. Not a big deal, could be the vanilla game acting up, I dunno. No one exploded, nothing was lost. Walked away with enough arms and armor to equip a small army.
OH! Oh, there is one issue I came across. Upon entering the underground entrance, I activated the Westek Optics thermal vision and the entire screen went black. Things were still going on around me, hud was still active, and sounds were working fine. Just pitch blackness. Going into pipboy to change out the optics doesn't help, reloading another save doesn't work either. Only exiting the game and reentering helps with it.
Funny thing is the nightvision of the westek optics work just fine. Not sure if it's specifically a conflict between the two mods, or issues from various mods tossed in together. Just posting in case someone else came across this problem.
Nope, haven't found anything yet... not that I've been actively playing the game. Kinda dropped it for a few months, irl stuff and all that.
But hey, I'm back at playing Fallout 4 again! It's not a huge deal I guess, as long as I remember to save before entering the area and Don't touch the thermal switch.

edit: the game freezes when i try to save or try to load other areas, i guess ill have to uninstall this mod until a fix is found. shame.
