I can't recommend this mod at all. Way too buggy. I was reminded of how buggy this mod is when I installed it today only to find that the sun never set because it lowered the timescale in the game to 0. If I'd have waited, or tried to sleep, it would have messed up my whole game.
Then there's the fact that the quest triggers anyway, and if you enter the Museum of Freedom you'll sometimes find that the quest marker is over a body that is in an inaccessible area falling through the floor, teleporting back to the top, and falling through the floor all over again, over and over and over ad nauseum.
Better mods for this, IMHO, include "SKK Preston is Killable," "Wasteland Operator - No Main Quest," and if you're into Thuggysmurf's mods, "Diary of a Madman," which uses a holotape given by the infamous Pickman to allow you to hurry through a lot of the stuff added in by "Outcasts & Remnants" and "Depravity," both of which are required to run it.
If you use Project Valkyrie, Outcasts and Remnants there is a quest called "Preston Garvey must pay". It's not lore friendly by any means but it allows you to deal with him directly which breaks their entire questline. The other settlers are still alive but they never leave the museum. But in order to access it you'll need to download them and are big files. Better than nothing.
Not the Preston in the cage on the overpass, that guy is an imposter. He is talking about the retconned Preston backstory hidden in terminals describing how he...well, you will need to do the quest to find out. But it is meant to be the actual Preston.
Hello Ghostfc3s Can this be used, the whole concord mob, and still be able to complete the main say with the bos, and build the relay without needing any part of sturges interacting n such .... so basically I'm asking with all the concord mob dead , the main quest can still be completed with the bos, and not have any quest line breaking ?
to be honest, this is utter nonsense.... this breaks the game too much..... I can offer a solution as I understand it...... 1-don't touch Preston in Concord!!!! 2 - when he comes to sanctuary and completes the quest, assign an additional impossible condition for the appearance of the quest to protect the settlement ( for example, you add a new perk to the list of perks and assign it as a condition BUT in no way assign it to the main character !!!! you can call the perk- "I Minuteman" and if you want the hero can activate it and then the Minuteman line will start ) and in this case, all the quests of Minuteman simply will not start and he will remain an extra in sanctuary guarding the settlement - the main plus of this decision will continue the main line of quests leading to diamond city after communicating with mother Murphy... and that's enough!!!!
Don't think so, as the castle area and quest line need preston alive, unless you find a workaround of sorts , or use a settlement type mod? Something per the settlement that would show later may need preston alive to trigger, and if he's dead, early, even tcl ing into walls n things, might show nothing there, as no possible trigger hasn't happened or things maybe there waiting for a trigger ?
This is a really wonderful mod it really brings my story to life but I have a question with mother Murphy now being dead will I be able to see dogmeat's name instead of it saying dog
Dogmeat will be called Dog until you grab Nick and start tracking down Kellogg - Valentine will then reveal his name then because Valentine has "worked" with Dogmeat before.

Preston is still alive and possible the rest of his crew too (we don't know because after to read all your tale you just didn't go inside the church, even you spend the time for 15 tries to get the Power Armor without to check inside)

Preston and the settlers were...in a wall inside the museum, I saw that because the quest marker was pointing to it. So I turned on the no clipping mode to go through that wall, and found them all there floating outside the game area, and he gave me the quest and everything, deathclaw spawned, etc.
