You should be able to first run:

      Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser

and then just run my script.

    Hello,
[Rhetorical question] I have game on SSD in G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 - how can i change your script to work?

    [Answer] Open remove_creation_club_files.ps1 and edit $fallout4Folder = 'G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data'

    Made it! Thank you!

Pourquoi ne pas supprimer les fichiers du jeu tout simplement ?

If you are new to PowerShell then I suggest using "PowerShell ISE" in the Windows Start Menu to open the file.

I can open PowerShell ISE, but I have no idea what to do next... I never used anything like PS.

      Be sure to run:

      Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser

      before.

      Okay, some basics:

      - Open PowerShell ISE
      - Press Ctrl+O to open a script file via file picker
      - Once opened, edit the script to suit your system's location
      - Press F5 to run the script

Thanks a lot for this little known, simple way of eliminating the Creation Club. They could not pay me to put that stuff back into my computer.

I'm having a problem with nexus mod manager where I cant rearrange my mod load order anymore. I recently downloaded creation club content and had problems with it in game, so I went into my download folder, went to creations and deleted the manifests. The 3 creations I installed from the CC still show up in my load order, and I still cannot rearrange any new mods I add. Will downloading this fix my problem do you think? Would really appreciate some help on this

edit: I figured it out, thanks anyway

Anybody know why the linked mod "No More Creation Club" does not exist anymore? Also, can anybody PM me a link to last working version of said mod? I could have swore I had that mod on my PC and I can't seem to find it at all. Thanks, to any replies. This mod IS a good idea, by the way, but there are a few up on the Nexus.

Thanks for noticing this, I'd recommend that you check out CCCleaner: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26592

My mod covers the underlying files (wasting space) and compliments removing the Creation Club from the user interface (CCCleaner) :D

This doesn't work if your game is anywhere other than the default installed location by designation of the installer.

All you need to do is change $fallout4Folder in the script to your install directory.

      Thanks for this file.

I agree this should just be purged and not backed up; especially because this doesn't save any space on the OS drive...
Also, you should have just used the default install... move useful for lazy mod users and no need to alter file for those that read posts/understand these files.

You give this shite too much credit by backing it up. Should just purge the filth.

Would this work to unbreak the game after the CC updates make the game run worse? For example load times are growing and I am noticing graphic glitches.

Potentially as long as the graphic glitches were actually caused by the CC update.

I suggest that you backup all files starting with 'cc' to a zip or rar archive and then try this PowerShell script :D
