This mod changes the behavior of all melee weapons in the game (only if they don't have blades or spikes) in order to make them non-lethal for most actors of the game. This is also the first official mod based on the Knockout Framework which is required for this mod.

In addition to melee weapons, a large variety of weapon mods has been added :

  • Double barrel shotgun and combat shotgun Riot Barrels (Uses beanbag rounds).
  • Combat Rifle Concussing and Automatic Concussing receivers (Uses rubber bullets).
  • Pipe Rifle Bruising, Concussing, and Automatic Concussing receivers (Uses rubber bullets).
  • Submachine Gun Pounding and Pummeling drums (Uses rubber bullets).
  • 10mm Pounding and Pummeling magazines (Uses rubber bullets).
  • .44 Riot Barrel (Uses rubber bullets).
  • Laser and Institute Laser Stunning and Enervating Capacitors (Uses Fusion cells).
  • Plasma Stunning and Enervating Capacitors (Uses Plasma cartridges).
  • Missile Launcher Rupture Unit, Causes missile to drop with gravity and changes the explosion into hot gas that can knock out.
  • A new Stun Grenade can be can be made at the chemistry station, like the other grenades.

Beanbag rounds and Rubber bullets can be crafted at the chemistry station in the Utility category.

All of the new mods and the grenade were added to vendor lists. Anyone who would normally sell mods/grenades now has a chance to sell these new items. All of the new weapon mods will update the weapon's names. These work alongside existing naming rules, and the new words will appear where it makes the most sense on the weapon name.

What weapons are considered non-lethal?

Here is the list of weapons that can now knock out an NPC, a creature, or even the player:

  • Tire Iron
  • Boxing Glove (including lead-lined boxing glove)
  • Rolling Pin
  • Power Fist (including heated coil power fist)
  • Walking Cane
  • Lead Pipe (including heavy lead pipe)
  • Pool Cue
  • Board
  • Knuckles
  • Baseball Bat
  • Baton (including electrified and stun baton)
  • Pipe Wrench (including heavy pipe wrench)
  • The new Stun Grenade

A new legendary effect, Pacifying, can potentially spawn on any non-heavy weapon except for low-capacity guns. It makes any weapon a knockout weapon regardless of other mods, plus gives a 5% chance to critical outside of VATS.

Were all weapons modified to accomplish that?

No, it was not needed to edit each weapons to make this possible, Only the "stock mod" which is common to all melee weapons of the game (even new ones added by other mods) has been edited. So you don't have to be worried about incompatibility with other mods, it does not have much chance of happening.

A big thank you to Sushisquid for taking care of the 1.1.0 version of the mod which adds tons of news weapon mods and some injected leveled lists (using a script).
Thanks to the Nifskope team for their tool.
Thanks to Bethesda for Fallout 4 and the Creation Kit.

Do not hesitate to send me translations for this mod.

This mod may not be modified or published without my permission.
I do not endorse Bethesda's recent and intensifying behavior towards his community and so decided that none of my mods would be present on bethesda.net, for both PCs and consoles. Please, don't waste your time sending me queries about this.
