Hello guys, I just updated the mod to version 1.1. The update includes lots of fixes and model improvements. I'm still trying to solve the lighting "problem" but I've pushed it to update 1.2 since it's not that big of a deal. In this update I had to redo a lot of work to match the textures and also fix clipping problems.
Hope you like it, feel free to let me know in the comments, thank you <3
Yo, am I allowed to use this thinner model in an overhaul? I'm not even sure if I'm gonna release it, but I wanted to make sure I had permission to do so.
Sorry, not for the moment. I'm working on a new version right now so I can finally fix the weird shading problem. (Also working on the replacer version too). Sorry for the late answer!
Since there wasn't ever an update released for a non-esp standalone I found a workaround that seems to work fine from what I've seen so far. I use BLD, so if I put this esp after BLD, the receiver is thin, but the stats override BLD. If I put this before BLD the stats are correct, but the receiver reverts Back 2 Phat. The solution is to just unpack the MachineGunReceiver_new.nif file from this mod, then go into the meshes\weapons\machinegun folder and make a copy of the file. Then just rename the original MachineGunReceiver.nif and rename the copy MachineGunReceiver_1.nif (so it's the same file, different names). You will now have the stats from the other mod and the thin receiver from this without needing to use an esp slot.
great mod. I've always thought the assault rifle looked too bulky for my perception of immersion. I know it's a tall order, but could you perhaps change the radius of the barrel as well? I really hate the idea that we're carrying a water cooled machine gun from ww1 like as if we're super mutants. For those of you who don't know, just google images that and see where the design came from.
Try the optional ARPR (Assault Rifle Replacement Parts) file in my AARP mod. There was another mod that had some bare barrels modified from the Combat rifle ones that actually looked rather good, but I can't seem to find it not.

Any chance we could get a plain replacer version, rather than the ESP? I got a mod that changes the weapon to .308 and (depending where I place this in my load order), it either makes it use default 5.56 or gives it the fat receiver.
I've answered this question before, and the answer is... I don't know. I don't have the mod. For what I can tell the mod doesn't modify the base model of the weapon (the receiver) so I think it should work fine. In the end, A.A.R.P adds new parts but leaves the receiver as the vanilla one, so it shouldn't conflict with my mod at all.

It was Satojomov Armory.
