Honestly its not all that "immersive" Bodies do sink IRL yes but they start floating sooner or later. As the body starts to rot it develops gasses that make it float back up
Interesting mod I look forward to seeing where this goes so am tracking for now. (don't know if it was added by a mod but I am sure that I stumbled on a skeleton with it's feet in a rock or stone block somewhere in the game near a bridge on one of my play through's, just thought it was an immersive if darkly humored addition)
just for that : dead babies mirelurk swimming before , they are dead now they no longer move . some must flow because annoying , add babies mirelurk and humanoid plz the problem and that we must plunge to recover the loot. i like , thx
hey guy, question not related to the mod, when you go into the water can you float on the surface? my character cant, it goes to the surface and then "falls" back under water dont know if is a bug or just bethesda normal gameplay, please help
If you feel like expanding this mod in the future, you could add a script that causes the bodies to float back up after a set period of time (like a day or two to approximate the build up of gases in the body after decomposition sets in, which makes them more buoyant
Also, not sure if this is possible, but make the limbs of actors less buoyant than the rest of the body. Not sure about the hard sciency numbers but from the pictures I've seen of post-floodlike disasters in the news, the limbs don't float nearly as well as the rest of the body.
Now what we really need is to have weapons that will actually sink!
I mean I've seen floating SLEDGE HAMMERS and other weapons for goood heavens! XD
Thats just silly!
I actually saw a SLEDGE HAMMER just 'casually' FLOATING by and past me, in a river!
I once accidentally fell into a river, on a bridge, wearing power armor, and it was cool because they sink to the bottom and it's difficult to get them out if you're taking rads (esp. w/ mods that increase rads) and so I had to make a tactical decision and only salvage the core and armor pieces and abandon the frame. Would be really cool if weapons would also sink, if you accidentally dropped them in, you'd have to go all the way to the bottom to get them!
Please remove "Immersive" tag as bodies float naturally when people die due to gasses in the human body. now if you wanted to make it to where armor made bodies sink i would be down for that as that raider wearing raider power armor should totally sink.
Complete nonsense. A person/body does not get more gasses just because it got shot. According to you nobody could drown. Those cases that bodies *reappear* are very rare and happen weeks later due to gas produced by bacterias during decay processes. But in most cases the body opens up anyways or animals do their thing.
I like your mod dude. I was just wondering if its possible for me to just make a simple adjustment manually to get the same effect, perhaps in an ini file or an external program? I ask so I can do this myself and bypass the need for an additional ESP. Have a good one
If nothing else, this mod helps with fresh kills in shallow water. Killing anything in knee-deep water makes bodies float like they are full of air right there.

They start floating after a couple of days. This mod is, in fact, immersive.

Do knocked out people even sink?
If they're just knocked out, they're still breathing so not sure they would sink, at least not right away.
