Secondly, I don't think this is your fault but I cannot get this preset to load. It just loads the default face but with a permanent black face glitch (you know, skin tone is turned down, eyebrows and makeup are gone that stuff). So any idea what I've done to screw it up?
Have you checked to make sure you have the latest version of looksmenu? That is really strange I haven't had that happen before. Are you using slm 00000014? Let me know if you have done those two things and meanwhile I will try to reproduce the problem.
I am using slm 14, but I'm not up to date with looksmenu. I haven't updated my game since the creation club launched. As far as I can tell no major changes have been made so far since 1.5, so the possibility is slimmer but you know Fallout could just be acting like a dick. I have been having this happen with other people's mods before the Creation Club even came out. Hmm, maybe I have just been out of date the whole time. I guess it wouldn't hurt.
EDIT: Well now even my own presets are broke, so most likely there's an incompatibility but I have no clue what that would be. Guess this is no longer your problem, but feel free to help if you'd like
Have you tried loading the preset and then going over to hair and change the hairstyle? A lot of times with the dark face bug that is how I fix it. Changing the hair forces the game to refresh the face. Try that. Also, have you tried loading a preset, saving, completely exiting the game, then starting it up again and loading that save? Those are the main solutions that come to my mind and what has typically worked for me with the dark face bug.
Also, what face mod are you using? If you are using the HD faces mod I have always had problems with the dark face bug. I use valkyrie faces fyi

Besides, she's really Scottish lol At least the voice actress is. As well as the accent...
Edit: The Required Mods list answered my question for me. Love the way your character looks man, might run with this look on my next playthrough.
