The damage manager handler has been completely rewritten (in the DLL). The old version which consisted of simulating low damage in order to detect non-lethal weapons/attacks was causing various bugs during combat.
Among these were: - Immediate knockout of player/NPCs wearing power armor due to low damage received. - Immediate knockout of player/NPCs from persistant damages such as flames. - Some possible inconsistencies when calculating damage dealt with non-lethal weapons. - A short delay was occuring before knocking out an NPC and the sound indicating the knockout that was sometimes played several times. - Rare crashes after a long game session.
All of these issues have been fixed and the mod performs its various calculations faster.
Furthermore, compatibility issues with several mods modifying the "abLegendaryCreatureItem" form won't happens anymore because it is no longer edited (this bug often manifested itself by the impossibility of knocking out NPCs).
You can install this update on existing savegames. The mod will automatically detect the update and proceed to it's installation.

ONLY real problem i have is that you cant ko people instead of killing them for missions. like the raiders in the museum of freedom or the drug dealers at the diner, and it still makes you kill them, anyone know if theres a mod patch for that
They really need to leave their old games alone. This updates really set people back. I got slammed by the Skyrim one, learned from that and avoided it this time, but it still sucks.
Please update this mod as soon as you can after you finish your other project. I was unable to roll my update back and your mod is a necessity. I love the game but hate all the killing. This mod is necessary for those of us who want to play but hate all the killing. Thank you.
I uninstalled this mod and started a new game and now the game crashes whenever I go to sanctuary. I dont have anything that requires this mod and if i reinstall it the game works. Very weird
Are you using a mod manager or did you do it manually? If It was through mod manager, I would download load the find manually and then go into it and see what's all in the files. You may be able to find a residual file that wasn't deleted by your mod manager.
Yeah i ran Classic to figure out what was making it crash and KnockoutFramework.dll was still on my cpu somewhere i scanned my entire computer for it and it hid the dll in my looksmenu mod for some reason. deleted that and now I am good. thats a first. and yeah i use MO2
there seems to be an error with the latest release and update of FO4 and not recognizing the new F4SE files. i know the F4SE is still getting worked on.
All the mods that are programmed around a DLL file have been rendered obsolete by the new "update". Mine even more so because it was independent of the Address Library. Moreover, I need to reprogram a large part of the plugin in order to hope to update the mod. I am currently working on another project and I do not know when I will be able to focus on this one.
oh yikes! that is very unfortunate. completely understand the time constraints and focus on other things. i have been enjoying the knockout features for years.
Weird stuff: mod seems to be working properly, but every time I load a game, I get a message that the mod requires F4SE version ..6.22 (I have ..6.23) and check if KnockoutFramework.dll is in the F4SE folder (it is). What's wrong? Can I disable the error message, since it at least seems to be working?
Love this mod but finding your companion after they got knocked out is annoying as hell (I mean really annoying) some times they can ragdoll fling hella far and you wont be able to get another companion until you find their unconscious body and revive them.
Just want to say how much I appreciate this mod, in my opinion it takes a lot of effort to mod FO4 into an interesting experience and this plugin alone goes a very long way for me. Thanks!
