I agree with Tom, seems weird how we can find any weapon in the wasteland just by walking around but Raiders and Mutants have pipe weapons all the time.
maybe you shouldn't "broke" the English language first. On the note of the BoS not using Ballistic firearms,that statement is inherently false,all brotherhood members are trained in the use of both ballistic and energy based firearms. the BoS outfit recruits with non energy based weapons,field scribes generally use ballistic weaponry but also have some access to energy based weapons,though they generally cant get anything more than a laser rifle. Only people ranked Knight and higher are outfitted with some form of energy weapon as standard issue,though if anyone finds an energy weapon out in the field they are permitted to keep it and can be supplied ammo with it so long as its not some recruit who just found a Gatling laser or something highly advanced like that.
The BoS just finished sacking the main Enclave base. I am sure they now have enough energy based weaponry to outfit every lowly initiate for the next thousand years. Adding the Plasma weapons and the Gauss rifle is likely right but the ballistics would be redundant.
