This is what happens when the Dragonborn accidentally visit the Commonwealth after a failed attempt to freeze his/her enemies because they use reflect magic and bounce back to the Dragonborn. Thus, his here in 2287

Hi Nellimarie1, congratulations on your huge work on Arlathan Castle, I bow to you!
I have a question: in the Blueprint_d.dds, in game, there is a line written in red
"ccfsvf04002-midcenturymod" what is this mod missing?
Once again, thank you for sharing your great work, congratulations.

    Hi nelli

I have downloaded this one, that i can present your fantastic settlement in my new video where i present Ethreon´s mod "Castle in the Sky".
This way of building is the best way to honour his work.

The complexity of this building is gorgeous. I love the entrance section with all the little houses, the narrow ways, the small bridges....
As i saw the structure and how it is integrated in the area, any ideas poped up in my mind instantly . This one gives me the motivation and the inspiration to do an other medieval castle/settlement/buildings in the future.

If you like to build this kind of style, do it. The best results are made with fun Can´t wait to see your next castle

Ok well I watched the Taffington video and commented in your Nexus area.
I have to admit that watching this video I had to pick up my jaw. You did an ever better job.
The Taffington build was great but this is just showing off LOL.
You have a skill and I hope you continue this as few have that little "extra" that you seem to have.
I am guessing you are a photographer or at least enjoy it as a hobby because you have a certain eye for details missed by most people including myself

Great job. I do hope you continue

Beechmasters this totally made my day! Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm not entirely sure I enjoy photography lol. Never really thought about it. I like things that look nice though. I feel like when I present a build I need to present it like I'm selling it. Selling stuff is easier when they look nice

I'm trying really hard to get better at the whole blueprint thing and have learned tons! Thanks for saying I have extra! I really want to be good at building and good at sharing them with people. I still have lots and lots to learn and I'm excited for the journey!

I have a couple more castle builds in the works. But my friends told me I need to widen my building types. Hence, the taffington build. At some point I'll do some lore friendly blueprints too

Again thanks for making my day! Hope your day is awesome!

If you like castles then build castles. Better to be great at one thing than so-so at many
Also if you enjoy it then it won't seem like work.
I like working with wood and when I do it never seems arduous at all.

Also someone I know has built several building types for one area and they change them as they feel. So one day Somerville will be a mansion. Next a scrubby settlement, then another day something else.
They just save them in different folders and move them around as needed.

Keep up the good work. You have a talent for this

So I've found that the things that kill my frame rate are lights and plants. I tried to keep the lighting at a bare minimum and didn't add any plants. I don't know how it would effect other people's frame rates but I hope it helps. I was at a solid 60 this whole build

    "Welcome to Arlathan!
    Yes, from Dragon Age. "

Did you not pay attention in the Dragon Age games? Every valid source on the subject describes it as being a floating crystal city, not a realistic-ish medieval castle surrounded by tudor-style housing.

Just because Solas spouts off once about Arlathan being a city among the clouds doesn't mean that's what it was. He is the king of liars. Sources also site it as being The Black City in the Fade. The thrones were empty...

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps I named it after Arlathan? I can assure you the instant someone makes crystal spire/black city mods I'll be making a beefy settlement out of those too. But anytime you wanna go toe to toe about Dragon Age I'm all ears. I don't site Wiki though and have read the books Have a spiffy night!

You Go Girl! I don't care where the inspiration for this came from, I'm just grateful you took the time to create such a wonderful Blueprint for us Building Challenged People to Enjoy!

P.S. Just uploaded a couple of Screenies to your Gallery of the Castle from the Walkway of the Airship Player Home! Sweet! They are Awaiting your Approval.

I added a Private Glass Roofed Swimming Pool, off the Left Side of the Royal Bedroom and a hidden Closet off the Right side using the hidden door wall in Castles in the Sky. I'll post some screenies of that too!

OK Update Time! I installed this and it is beyond Fantastic! but it did have a couple of issues:

      1. You have a file Settle-SRR.esp that is from Settle - Settlement Resources Revived that is unfortunately no longer available for download as the Author has disabled it on the Nexus so I installed this without that mod which probably explains most of the other issues.

      2. The 2 Tannery Skins in the Office room near the Throne Room were missing their textures, no Biggie I just scrapped them.

      3. The Southernmost Wooden building is missing some ramps ( See Issue 1 )

      4. The two buildings off the North East Shore by the Barge of shipping Crates have no walkway from the dock to the stairs inside ( Again see issue 1 )

      5. The Thrones were missing from the Throne Room ( Again see Issue 1 )

But honestly, these are nitpicking issues compared the sheer Scale you have built on and all are easily enough fixed after the Import. I am truly impressed with this Blueprint and have Endorsed!

For anyone looking to import this, I suggest scrapping EVERYTHING north of the Workbench Building Except the Barge with shipping crates ( When I tried to scrap those the Games Graphics went wonky might just be my game ) and the 2 boathouses on the North West Corner of the Island, If it wasn't a Rock I either Scrapped it or moved it to the Southern part of the Island near the Boat with the Generator, for replacement after the Import, Like the Boats on the Western Shore of the Island.

I HIGHLY Recommend this Blueprint, It makes anything I have built look like a Total Novice built them!

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR THE UPDATE! So I think what I'm gunna do is make another file and try that one. I was so out of it yesterday that I didn't even load this one to see if it works. I'll check different boxes at the export stage. It really annoys me that the barge is there with the crates. That took the longest to scrap lol. I shall try to fix when I get to my pc. Thank you so much for endorsing! I'm super overwhelmed by the compliments! I hope your day is awesome!

I was unable to scrap the Barge because the Game Graphics Glitched out when I tried, TS won't Export-Import them anyway so if you have managed to scrap them don't worry about those

Update: If you are going to redo It I would suggest trying to disable the Settle - Settlement Resources Revived, then Import this Blueprint and fix any little things that are not right then Re-Export, as that mod is not available for others to download anymore

I just sent you a PM with a link to download a proper NMM Installer for this Blueprint, complete with an in-game Blueprint that shows the required mods. This is such a Beautiful Professional Looking Blueprint that I felt it needed a Professional Looking Installer to go with it!

Soooooo. Can you tell me how to use the thing you sent me? Does it replace the file? I was trying to avoid NMM totally until I feel more comfortable knowing what Im doing lol. Also Im a tad confused as to the whole settle- settlement resources revived thing... The esp is attached to Settlement Keywords Expanded, I dont have Settle-Settlement Resources Revived anywhere in my mods list. So SKE must've used it. Sorry Im a dolt. I was looking at the throne thing (well as much as I can with my miniscule knowladge) And those are from VVITCH HAUS. So Im guessing she used the same thing for her mod?

      About the Installer:
Inside the Zip i sent you are 2 files and a folder, the Blueprint_d.dds is the Texture that shows a Blueprint in-game. the file Arlathan Castle by NellMarie1.json is just a rename of your original Blueprint File, They can be named anything as long as it ends in .json By Renaming it That is what It will show in-game in Transfer Settlements list, making it easier for the people who install it to find it in their Blueprint Lists. The Folder FOMOD has a file called ModuleConfig.xml, this file is the installer for NMM and tells it where to install the .json and .dds files, it is just a Text file that can be edited with Notepad. If you have a Different Name .json file you can edit the ModuleConfig.xml to change the name in the in the commands inside it a Replace all of "Arlathan Castle by NellMarie1.json" no quotes with whatever your file name is and that allows you to reuse this installer for any of you Blueprints, altho If you want to change the info in the Blueprint_d.dds you need a Graphics program like Gimp., If you just want to use this installer as is with a new version of your first upload, you can just rename your new Export file to Arlathan Castle by NellMarie1.json and then copy it into the Zip, overwriting the one in there, Then if you upload the Zip to Nexus and allow the button for Mod Manager Download, When people download this it will show as Arlathan Castle in NMM and during the install it will ask them which of the 50 slots they want to intall the Blueprint to.

About Settle - Settlement Resources Revived:
The .json files that Transfer Settlements makes are also just a text file that can be edited with Notepad, altho I prefer Notepad++ as it organizes the file for easier editing and it becomes easy to see the actual mod files the Blueprint uses and one of them was the Settle-SRR.esp When I looked that up I found it was a component of Settle - Settlement Resources Revived which is no longer Available to Download from the Nexus. I found as you stated it is tied to Settlement Keywords Expanded and is an optional patch for Settlement Keywords to make it compatible with the Settle - Settlement Resources Revived. Since I don't have the Settle Mod when I installed SKE I did not select the Settle Patch. Which explaines why It did not have any real impact on the Import. When you installed SKE you must have selected the optional patch for the Settle SSR Mod but since you don't have the SRR Mod actually installed it really doesn't do anything but shows up as needed by Transfer Settlements during import. I was able to successfully Install your Blueprint without it. So People without it will get a warning in-game not all 3rd party Mods are installed, but if they ignore that it won't really make any impact to the import. If you go to your Mod Load Order List in NMM and find the Settle-SRR.esp and uncheck it, and load a clean save without it enabled and then re-export your Blueprint then that will remove it as a requirement as far as Transfer Settlements is concerned.

      About the Thrones:
As for the Thrones being missing, I do have Witch Haus installed as I was going to try your Dragons Tooth Castle but never got around to it. So I just have to find it in my Workbench but that might take a bit as I have so much in there now it takes almost 2 minutes to even go into build mode lol.

Hope this Helps and you are welcome to ask me any other questions as I Really want to see more of your work!
