I have to say, i have played every fallout, i am a nerd of fallout studying its history, and this mod is more immersive and dare i say lore friendly than what Bethesda made. that tower looked ugly and didn't seem to fit in, but this looks cozy and what a small group of villagers in post-apocolyptia would use. its simple but danm it is needed nice work!
Nice mod but OP has wrong assumptions. Such a ham radio would realistically still require significant antenna work. You aren't going to penetrate the wasteland and its weathers via internal nor a dinky rubber duck antenna but would need FO4's beacon size or bigger.
Hello. Your ham radio settlement beacon activates a random radio station at about thirty percent intensity and all I hear all the time is a noise that never stops unless I go by myself and activate that random radio station. i want to use your mod but not like this. i hope there is going to be a update and fix this. That's all. Thanks.
- Open the mod in FO4Edit - Go to "Activator" (There's only one thing called "SettlerRadio". Click on it) - In the "View" tab, scroll down to FNAM - Flags. Right click on "Is a Radio", then click on "Remove". - Below, you have RADR - Radio Receiver. Right click on the blank section. Hit "Remove". - Save and exit
if you combine this with the settlement markers mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20651/? you can get assignable scavanger and guard radio operator markers that you can place in front of the radio to have someone man it.
Yes I'd like to try this out too, after reading the post and description, just a few question that sprang to mind tho if thats ok .. ? 1 this will replace having to use a tower ? 2 will it need to be powered like the tower ? 3 For the settlement quest that say set up a tower to create your settlement from preston garvey will this work in its place ?
Ohh ok, will download and test it out , let you know , also I plan to use this with conquest settlements which would be perfect for !! Thanks for your reply ..
will a NMM version be added ,or should i just drag this into a certain folder ? (sorry im NMM handicapped ) Awesome idea and a personal must have now that ive seen it.
I'm gonna be that guy. You know, THAT guy. The guy that asks about compatibility with custom settler mods. Yup. Like Lots More Settlers and Enemies and Better Settlers in particular. Uh-huh. Now I'm gonna get all those "figgur eht out", "tri end c", "not his mod, shuv off" comments. Any minute now, the customary Nexus hate for users who are not modders will ROLL over me like a violating tide...
... in case that isn't what happens, thank you for actually responding to my post. Thanks for making this regardless.

2/ Self Powered
3/ It Should (it triggers the same quest alias)
#3 is the only one I haven't tested in game but it seems to be based on signal not item construct
Thanks for your reply ..

Added DLwMgr for those who want it that way.
Still, will try it out. Getting tired of the big tower. Smaller is always good :-)
Make it Ham Radio Settlement Beacon.
You activate this radio in a settlement and (free/new) settler will walk by?
If you build it they will come.
