Very awesome mod, it greatly improves the BFG! Very nice job!
As stated elsewhere across this site and in these comments, you have to enable the core mod file ("ccbgsfo4042-bfg.esl") in order to use this mod. The procedure to do so is simple and easy enough to find, so no one should have to hold your hand. By using any game mod from this site or any other, you're modifying the files that allow a computer program to properly function and therefore should have a mindful understanding of what you're doing and how to do it before you even start. It isn't difficult in any way.
If this mod "doesn't work" for you, you've done something wrong.
One thing I would like to state for all of the people against the Creation Club and it's supporters: I didn't pay Bethesda a plugged nickel for the BFG/Marine Armor mod or buy any of their credits. If you're smart and resourceful, you don't have to either. I'm not gonna tell you what to do, how to do it, or where to look. That's the resourceful part.
"hi guys, I'm gonna gloat about how to do something that's useful and will save money. but f*#@ you, I'm not gonna tell you since I'm smarter than you"
Does anyone know how to activate the mod manually? I have been reading many comments but I still do not understand what I have to do or where I have to put it, I already have the esl but the mod does not apply. Thanks
How did you edit it? I can't figure out how to load its files into an editor.
Edit: Nvm, latest version of xEdit opens .esl files.
Wait, how does this work? It's a .esp file that wants a .esl as a master, but .esl files always load later. Shouldn't the original then override it? I wanted to see what values you changed so I could try some tweaks of my own but I can't even open it as it needs the .esl file to load first, which it doesn't.
