I love this idea, I just wish it was complete in that there are many things in the Commonwealth that SHOULD be scrapable, but aren't because they're either just not in a settlement, or they're just not.
You say to yourself, Oh, I need a shitload of concrete to build something or other, but I don't have any. Oh but there's this busted up wall with concrete chunks all over the ground. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SCRAP THOSE, because, you know, common sense. But you can't. Thanks Todd Howard. NOOOOT.
Why would you think it does that? :/ ...if you're able to scrap everything around you, you're sure to get an increase in FPS though. (depending on your amount of re-textures)
yeah, destroying precombines optimization and going over the dx11 draw call limit may decrease performace (up to severe fps drops or even ctd in dense areas). a problem of all scrap mods with the ability to destroy precombines. the more you scrap the higher the risk if you scrap the wrong objects.
Hello and happy holidays. Your mod working (where other popular scrap mods fail, and someone can scrap also !! the settlers at Far Harbor). The only problem i found, your mod cause, is that after i use the console command scrapall, it delete the marker of the vanilla settlement, using or not the pip-boy. The only good thing after this, is i don't get any vanilla settlement attack. The only marker of vanilla settlement that stay...alive, is at Covenant. Your mod also delete the green borders of settlements at Commonwealth and Nuka-world. That's all. i hope there is going to be a update of your good mod. I wish you happy new year and good health. Thanks.
Interesting initiative considering the amount of scrap-mods there are! *endorsed* I tried this a short burst on a save at the Red Rocket station, and was excpecting to be able to scrap a whole lot more... Like the tables inside, or parts of the filling station. I could finally scrap that Camp Fire on the side at last though, and a few parts around doors, and large bits of the road just outside which seemed a bit scary, but there was ground underneath! I've tried most scrapping mods since v1.2 of Fallout, and what I tried this mod with is (I daringly placed this above those other mods in case yours has a wider scope but still includes items that I could get scrap resources from) Immersive Scrapping 4, Scrap Dead Things 1.7 and the old Scrap That Misc. which gives me a good overall scrappability. I believe NX-Pro Farmings adds some scrapping too for greenery. Gonna' track this and see if it evolves! ^_^
Indeed, that mod is common practice for scrapping corpses of all sorts, most automatrons included. It also works on living attackers but as I believe is pointed out here and there, that's not a good idea.

But the question is if this increases performance, not decreases.

works well but not on attackers.
