big news fallout 4 had a update last month. what do this update do? It made are pip boys upgradeable at the work bench. So you can add lot of new skins to your pip boy without going in and out of the nexus. To see it go to the work bench in your game.
I don't use the Pip-Pad, but downloaded it today to do just that. Someone else requested this as well, and I decided to make it compatible with that.
So short answer is yes, I'm planning on doing that right now. Hopefully it won't take too long to make.
Also after I make the Pip-Pad version I'm planning on making other versions (e.g. Blade Runner, Robocop), and will most likely be making Pip-Pad versions of those too, when I get to them.
Thanks for your input, and I hope you get to enjoy the Pip-Pad version.
Judge Dredd was one of the most iconic comic book figures of the 1980's through to the 1990's and has a very strong cult following.
His world was set in a timeline about a little over a hundred and fifty years before the timeline of fallout 4, in his world also the planet had been devastated by a global nuclear war and the surviving un-mutated population of the United States lived in a huge city called mega city one on the US east Coast, a sprawl that covers most many entire state's in a single urban jungle including New York which in the comic was itself a mutant infested necropolis with that section of Mega City one built on a huge concrete platform over the polluted remain's of Old New york, many of whose sky scrapers had been strengthened and re-used as support's for the concrete platform, some of Dredd's story's took him into this dark world.
Most of the people in these mega city's, especially mega city one live in huge skyscraper tower block's with residential, retail and industrial facility's all in the same building's, these are simply termed Block's and each has the population of a small city in itself, sometime's tension between rival group's and gang's in block's on opposite sides of the street were these block's can often almost touch one another lead to war between them, these wars are called Block Wars and the judges use lethal force to put them down. http://forbiddenplanet.blog/wp2013/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/judge-dredd-block-mania-2-mcmahon-rebellion-idw.jpg https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/15/feb/dredd2.jpg
The world outside the protective wall's that surround the Mega City's is a bleak and terrible place populated by mutant's, cannibal's, rogue war time robot's called ABC robot's and tribes of lawless people, a radioactive and biological weapon contaminated reality called the Cursed Earth. https://letusnerd.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/lawless-cursed-earth-judge-dredd.jpg
When and IF a judge reaches an age were he can no longer uphold the law and has become more of a liability to his comrades he has a choice which is to either retire to a quiet life though this is seen as a dishonorable path and frowned upon or he/she can take the more honorable route of the true defender of the law, the Long Walk were the judge will spend the end of there life trying to bring law to the lawless. https://zombiesruineverything.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/dredd.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-STlqEjWzzcQ/TmJS3d5hIRI/AAAAAAAAB54/43KE67sCyGo/s1600/Long-Walk.jpg
In there life in the Mega City's the Judges are all of three thing's, they are the only police, they are the jury and they are also the judge and executioner. https://www.retroandcollectables.co.uk/content/images/thumbs/0003916_judge-dredd-black-and-white-nycc-exclusive-one12-figure.jpeg
Criminal's are referred to as Perp's while all other people are simply called citizen with Judge dredd's famous catch phrase being "I am the LAW".
Cardinal crime's carry instant execution penalty's and less serious offences carry often very long prison term's in the Mega city's prison's usually in Aspen outside the city were the former resort is now a maximum security penal colony.
The Judge Dredd story's from the now defunct comic book 2000AD ran for hundreds of issues originally on a weekly basis.
Here is the time line of the Dredd story's. http://2000ad.org/?zone=dredd&page=timelines
Dredd Mega city population's are often a bit blurry but usually over 200 million people so not all net sources are correct, however here is the wiki on that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megacities_in_Judge_Dredd
2000AD was the western equivalent of the violent Manga comic's of Japan, the story's were often gruesome which strangely is probably why so many of us loved it, it was more of a grown up comic.
Other great and Gruesome characters including Nemesis an Alien who traveled the cosmos and whose arch enemy was a corrupt future human emperor whom was very close to the emperor in the warhammer series, Slain Macroth an ancient celtic berserker and time travelling warrior, Rogue trooper and many other's but Dredd was the most internationally popular of those characters.
Of the two movies the second one was better with the more real Dredd personality, the first with Stallone though looked more like the comic but Stallone ruined the role.
I'll endorse Endorse shortly, Dredd is a great character.
WOW this is amazing! Thank you for this, this was very insightful. I also really appreciate the endorsement, your the first one I've gotten! And yea I agree the second Dredd was pretty good, it took on more of a serious tone, and I think that fits better than the happy ending 80's trope that the first one got. About that comic comment, I think so too, it took people out of the norm, and help pave the way for the current apocalyptic setting that we have (e.g. Mad Max: Fury Road, Fallout 4), where everything is life or death. Also just a heads up, not sure when I'll be getting around to it, but I'm thinking of doing some other cyberpunk/ apocalyptic versions, like maybe Blade Runner, or Robocop. I'm also considering making Pip-Pad compatible versions.
Thank you for your support! And thank you for checking out my Mod!
And again thanks for the effort you put into your awesome comment.
Someone got there before me I am the second, had to nip down to the shops but endorsed as soon as I got back, thank's for the mod I like it. The pip pad version's will definitely be popular, there are a few but not one's you have named, there is a tron boy and some that add anime screen back ground's but a blade runner one sound's cool.
That would be pretty awesome actually, and am glad I unintentionally worked toward a possible better playthrough for someone/me, when and if that mod ever comes out. I'm gonna track it now too, to keep an eye on it, thanks for the info!
Up to version 7 of photoshop, there wasnt really a lot of difference in Gimp and Photoshop. I was getting an expert cert, but never actually finished it. P/S was easier to use, but understanding it made a huge difference. All the functionallity was there in v.7 and for a while very little changed except to combine functions you could do yourself with a thorough undersanding of p/s. Don't sell yourself short.
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment, truly, and yea I learned what I knew in P/S through 2 years of high-school Computer Graphics (but that was a while ago haha), and fiddling with the program on my time. And yea I agree, having some level of understanding can take you far. I also didn't realize how similar they were, I thought GIMP was a poor man's Photoshop, but I guess not, it's pretty capable.
Thanks for checking out my mod, and for your input.

I'm glad you like it, it was kinda my entry to modding, I would love to get into scripting and other larger scale mods, but all in due time I guess.
I first need to learn how to script . . haha.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25983/?
And there may be plan's to port the fallout 3 Dredd armor to the game as well by the same authors.
Here is that original fallout 3 mod

So your pip boy will help to complete the effect.
Thanks for checking out my mod, and for your input.
Gonna add it to my collection! I combine the ones I like under Craftable Poop-Boy paintjobs. Oh, and I will add a bunch of dick-butt stickers...
