I no longer play FO4 so I no longer am supporting any of my mods. if anyone wants to take over any of my mods and continue support for any of them this is granting permission for you to do so.
Version 1.3 is out. this version adds support for the following:
added v88 support.
added somerville place support.
merged Decal Stain Remover - REDUX with annoying objects.
annoying objects now supports DLC and non DLC versions.
*Places on the "to do" list*
*ALL SETTLEMENTS DONE!*
19 August 2022, 3:36AM when I created this mod I made sure it would be 100% compatible with anything. so unless the tables change this mod should always work. I will update it if something causes it not to work. this mod removes nothing. therefore shouldn't break anything. it just simply disables the original file.
I will periodically check to see if anything needs fixed.
sorry for the late response. when I created this mod I made sure it would be 100% compatible with anything. so unless the tables change this mod should always work. I will update it if something causes it not to work. this mod removes nothing. therefore shouldn't break anything. it just simply disables the original file.
Before I found this mod, I tried to do this myself in CK and ended up walking through walls... Thanks for saving me the frustration of trying to figure out what I did wrong.
Thanks again. I'm enjoying the cleaner settlements. Now if we could just clean the settlers .
Just to let you know there is still a place in the castle along the long corridor ( I think it is on the left side of the corridor if you turn right after going in the door by the workshop). It looks like mud splashes on the walls. I noticed it because I put some furniture in there and it is now on the furniture.
I didn't because I wanted to look into using the .esl files. I don't have the 1.10 update and don't intend to put it in. I did update to that version but it broke most of my mods so I rolled back to the previous version.
So I will try the new version.
Edit - When downloading the requirements were Far Harbor, Nuka World and Vault-Tec. Mod Organizer apparently thinks Automatron is also required (it is flagged as having missing files). So the DLC version does not work for me. I removed Automatron because of the Rust Devil Bug.
So I guess my question now is if I take the non-DLC version does that mean the clean up I requested for Far Harbor will not show up?
correct. as for the DLC's you can bypass that. look at "creative clutter" demanding offers blank files to bypass dlc requirements.
I'll check into automatron. it shouldn't need it unless something from that dlc adds decals to settlements.
*edit* silly me, i should drink my coffee and wake up before I post. automatron is required due to stains in the mech lair. I'll add it to the requirements. thanks for bringing it up.
Thank you Izaharia for taking the time to create this mod and for offering an .esl version of it as well. After a brief examination of your mod in FO4Edit, I realized that another mod author already made something similar back in 2016 and I've been running theirs for some time without issue.
It's called Decal Stain Remover - REDUX by LethalThreat. DSR disables more types of stain decals (including the same blood and sand decals as yours) from settlements in the Commonwealth and optionally from Far Harbor, Nuka-World and The Mechanist's lair too. You should check it out.
we talked and he doesn't have time to update his mod due to RL. so he gave me permissions to merge it into mine. so I will start supporting his work as well as mine. new version will be coming soon.
Izaharia, Just circling back to say the new merged mod is working great! No issue to report with the dozen or so settlements I've visited. Thank you for breathing new life into DSR - Redux by not only improving upon it, but for agreeing to taking on it maintenance as well.
hi, your mod remove blood in 1th floor in taffington house , also ?
Edit : Thank you, I'm still very far from taffington in my new game I must also do quests what will be long these spots are very boring , the blood passes through the carpets ... the dead cows its easy to move by console : prid id on him go a little further select a tree then tape : moveto if I remember well ?
Another request, If I may. Starlight Drive-Inn - the 3 piles of trash in the small body of water in the middle of the parking area.
I tried to remove them with Scrap Everything but couldn't. My intention was to use the console and my precise positioner mod to elevate the water and then scrap them or even disable the water until I could scrap them, but the mist rising off the water is preventing that. The mist is the only thing the console recognizes
actually. that can be removed by console. but you are right. the mist or the water gets in your way. the best solution for that is Console Name Fix by registrator2000 this will allow you not only to see the name of what you're targeting but use your mouse wheel to select objects behind mist or water.
The lake by the castle, the one with the floating rowboat, is filled with plenty of unscrappable/unremoveable via console Marsh Scum. I know its (mostly) outside the workshop area, but its honestly annoying that the Minutemen wouldnt want to try and clean up a potential source of drinking water.
I'm only focusing on objects in the build area that's persistent (I.E. like sand, blood) if you can put a rug down and it covers the rug. i know the spot your referring to. but it's not an object I'm looking for in this mod. thanks for the post though. I'm sure one of the clean water mods may touch that.
Abernathy is about the worst I've seen, so thanks for that. The blood at Taffington always ended up on top of rugs so no covering that up,
I can think of 4 right off hand though I'm sure there are others.
Warrick (think that's the name - its the one that used to be a waste treatment facility). It has dirt that shows up on rugs and on some walls.
The Castle - the room in the middle that looks like an office has dirt on the floor and a couple of the areas along the long hallways have dirt on the floor and/or dirt along the walls that attaches itself to any object placed there.
Coastal Cottage has what looks like a mud splash suspended in mid-air that also attaches itself to any object placed there. If you are standing on the porch facing the front of the house it seems to be located on the first side wall of the house to the right. What I found interesting is that when you remove that wall any object you place to the left or right of where it was,the mud splash will attach itself to that object. Even if you go all the way to the workshop boundaries.
National Park Visitor Center - This is the one in Far Harbor where you have to go find the Bartender's Uncle. There is what looks like wood chips all over the floors downstairs. Also cannot be covered up by rugs usually attaches itself to any chairs or furniture placed there.
Now aren't you sorry you asked for more suggestions .
I have the Scrap Everything mod and it doesn't get rid of that dirt in the office. Also there is a square shaped patch of dirt in one of the halls that it won't remove either.
Is Scrap Anything a different mod? I'll check it out - probably conflicts with Scrap everything though.
no, sorry I meant scrap everything. i run 2 scrap mods. scrap everything and break the walls down. somehow I'm able to scrap that "misc clutter" i'm also able to scrap the stains off the walls. there is a lot of clutter in there. can you post a SS of the area in question? i'll compare it to my game.
*edit* I've found the 3 spots in the castle you're referring to. yes these are the objects my mod means to remove. I will add this area in my update.
Edit on the mud splash at Coastal Cottage - it is actually on the outside of first side wall to the left when facing the front of the house.
Also in the garage there is sand on the floor. I usually use it for a workshop so it isn't much of a problem but it may bother some people.
I apologize for not sending screenshots - my damn computer has been sending my screenshots into a black hole lately. Haven't been able to retrieve them.
Blood on the floor in the wrecked house and sand all over the place. I'm not even sure I can explain where I see it exactly. There are several levels of walks under the lighthouse by the dock. Sand on those. I've built right on top of them so they all do it...does that help at all? I will have to update once I move my build closer to the lighthouse - I though there were more around there but ya can't really see them until you build on them.
Is my understanding correct that blood/sand/dirt/trash decals are actually "grass"? I noticed in Hangman's that the trash would change appearance when cell was reloaded, this happens with grass as well, so why I linked the two. **Some trash in Hangman's is scrappable. Some is not. Mainly near the "west" gate. I can provide screens if necessary.
if i remember correctly the trash is there to cover the messed up ground. you would be better off using a mod that does landscaping also with nav meshing. I'm only removing persistent objects that appear on top of anything you build. i would recommend Hangman's Alley Basic Clean Up by Minara https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18087/?
