Very nice looking weapon but it is actually called a Sling Blade or Kaiser Blade and is used as a brush clearing instrument. It would be a very effective weapon as well and fits nicely in the fallout world. Thanks for sharing your work.
So it is basically a mini scythe that clears bushes? Well that is pretty cool. I found it while i was browsing google searching for inspiration and i just thought it looked perfect for Fallout.
Yeah, it's sort of a mini scythe except it's more for clearing brush and over growth where a scythe is more of a harvesting tool. If you're looking for an alternate name, Sling Blade is kind of cool. Of course Kaiser Blade is not too far from your original name. If you google sling blade there are numerous other names for the device since it's so commonly used.
I like the fact that it's in the raiders list. It looks pretty wicked and it certainly fits the raiders theme.
Where I come from, it's called a Brush Hook, commonly used for cutting handline on wildland fires when the chainsaw fails. Having used and maintained it professionally quite a bit, I can attest to the Brush Hook's ease of use, and how well it will sever something with a regular swing and a halfway-decent edge. Honestly, I'm surprised it hasn't popped up more often in Fallout mods.
some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade. It's just a long handle, kind of like an axe handle. With a long blade on it shaped kinda like a bannaner. Mhm. Sharp on one edge, and dull on the other. Mhm. It's what the highway boys use to cut down weeds and whatnot.
It is not the same mesh look at the images i have added where i show the history tree of the model tell me if you need more proof
edit: I have uploaded a new image showing this .prt files sketch as you can see i have drawn over a raster image of what i thought to be a home-made weapon at the time. This process is called reverse engineering which i was thought in my advanced computer aided design class.
I installed the mod using NMM but for some reason when I found a raider with one it was purple. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this to happen? The texture files appear to be in the proper folder.
I figured it out. While the materials and the meshes were in their own folder, the textures were not. So I decided to put them in a folder that matched the rest and it fixed my problem. Now it looks as it should in the game.
It is a real to life gardening tool that is used world wide. I own one myself and use it on occasion and I am no farmer or gardener. You can find it at Home Depot or any other larger hardware store. It is not unreasonable for more than one person to come up with a version of such a common instrument.

Edit: Not the same weapon model, they just look very similar. I retract my above statement.
I realised that you could think that i have just imported it so i added another image showing a part of the history tree.
This weapon has some advantages it is available from level 1 raiders and is a bit lighter than normal sledge.
Dad used to pick them up at auctions.
