The script is in the description. Run it on your weather mods.

i dont understand this mod. I applied it to my weather mod and double checked in fo4edit that the changes arent overwritten by other modes. Indeed the godrays are gone now, but I see literally no difference between this mod and gr off. Can you point me to a location where I am able to spot these volumetric lights? I feel like for me both god rays and volumetric are disabled regardless of gr on or off.

Check the Vault 101 entryway by the vault door.

thank you! that indeed shows a big difference between gr off and this mod. Is this effect used often? This vault example is the only clear example I have found thus far.

Any light source that illuminates the air rather than just meshes it's in contact with. It's used a lot in detailed areas, and possibly player settlements.

I'm using this mod and I set my godrays in fallout.ini to 0 but I still see godrays ingame although I'm not sure if that's really godrays or something volumetric lighting has created. Most noticeable when behind trees and I see lots of rays. I have volumetric lighting enabled and volumetric lighting quality set to 3. I also have this mod load order pretty high up. Is this normal? Did I miss something?

Why did you touch the ini?

And yes, you'll have a mod overriding the changes this one made to the weather.

I'm using NAC X and TrueStorms, does these render your mod ineffective? I switched godrays in fallout.ini back to "1" and even put your mod's esp higher in the load order, but I really still can't see the difference. Thank you.

Put the mod lower in the load order, mod managers usually load from Top-Down.  Try placing it LAST and see if it helps?

So what does this mod do exactly? Does it remove that "haze" that seems to be everywhere outside and god rays? Because I'm looking for a mod that removes that "haze" everywhere, but I really like the god rays.

Yeah, that sounds pretty much the opposite of this mod. Personally I hate godrays but love volumetrics! I'm sure there are mods that make the air clearer, try the weather category. However you might find that without some haze the godray effect won't work too well.

The haze is actually part of the outdoor sun godrays. The mod gets rid of that, as they're disabled.

That's good to know Fifty - I'd assumed by "haze" everywhere (and in quotes) they really meant volumetric fog rather than just the sun haze.

Does this mod do anything different than using the console command 'gr off'?

      which is?
      Nvm I scrolled down.

For those asking for a Vortex download, just download the .7z and drag it to the rectangle at the bottom of your mod list in Vortex.  It'll install itself.

Quick question: If we're using a non-vanilla weather mod, such as Lightweight Lighting - A weather and interior lighting overhaul, do we still need to run the script? Or can we just simply use your .esp file?

You can find out using FO4Edit.

You can just run the script to be sure.
