Man, this mod is a game changer, makes playing in third person viable even in tight spaces. I wish a mod like this was available to Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I know this is an old comment but if anyone sees this, there is a mod that can do it. It's called Aim View Switcher. If you couple it with Diagonal Movement and 360 Movement, it goes a long way towards making New Vegas feel more modern.
can you add an alternative where you can assign a key to replace the double clip? I feel like it can be a bit clunky at times and having a sticky key for first person aiming and the original would be great ejm: Right clip aims in third person and keeping the C pressed activates the first person aiming
Hey, thanks for this mod! Overall it seems to work pretty well.
Just a heads up for those that want to use it though:
1. You need to enable this AFTER character creation, not before. Otherwise, the holotape won't show up in your inventory. Also, enabling this prior to character creation creates this weird effect where your camera switches to 3rd person immediately after creating your character and he/she is automatically walking forward. And if you're using a Fast Start type of mod, as soon as you exit Vault 111 your POV is back to 1st person but with some kind of head-bobbing animation. TLDR: Lots of anomalies occur if you enable this mod prior to character creation, so again, enable it AFTER.
2. For some reason during VATS the first shot almost-always shows up in 1st person POV. This isn't how it is in vanilla so I know it's coming from this mod, but the good news is that it's not game-breaking either AFAIK.
3. On rare occasions this mod will bug out and it tends to happen when using power armor, or more specifically, after exiting power armor. Thankfully, you can just reset the mod using its holotape. Strangely enough, using the holotape seems to add another one in your inventory, so you'll see that number in parenthesis go up over time lol.
Thank you! Your instructions on item 1 solve the issue with the mod for me! Although your account is deleted, I hope replying to it will help give this post more relevance. ;)
I was out of Fallout 4 for a while and when I was playing this mod was working just fine. Now I can't get it to work. I tried both version with and without F4SE. :(
