the best gage rework out there. i am in love with this handsome fella. this mod is one of the reasons why i didn't do the quest open season. thank you for this pretty boy.
So, not sure if this is a bug or not, but I jut experienced some very strange behaviour doing the quest "Power Play". I sided with the Operators and the Pack (as I always do, sorry, can't stand the Disciples), for reference. As we started the assault on the power plant and started killing the traitorous gang members, the 'send Gage to a settlement' dialogue pops up and he went hostile. Now this didn't cause the allied gangs to also aggro, just Gage, although Mason seemed to disappear also.
I did away with Nisha, turned on the park's power, but waited a couple of days before going to speak to Gage. He was back to normal and so I could complete the quest, but... Gage shouldn't turn hostile during this quest. And no, I didn't shoot AT him, and neither did a couple of other followers I had. I reloaded just to make sure, sending my other followers elsewhere before continuing, but same result. Gage turned hostile as soon as I started killing the Disciple members.
The armor on this mod would be perfect for my sole survivor, but whenever I spawn Gage's armor with the console and equip it, it's just Gage's clunky vanilla armor with no mods D: I have the required mods for this to work, am using it on a male character, and have yet to get to Nuka World on this run, so Gage hasn't been in my game yet (this time around). Might I be doing something wrong? Btw, thank you for this edit, and for your other mods! Your piercing mod totally saved my sole from not looking like my concept for him.
Hmm...that's a good question. Try spawning Gage or a copy of gage to you. See what he spawns in. If he spawns in his old clunky armor, then I'll take a look at it
My reply to this didn't go through, whoops. I did spawn a copy of Gage, and he was in his vanilla armor still, I'm pretty sure with his vanilla face too. Idk if it's my game or something with the file. I've attempted to deactivate it and reactivate it with no success, but maybe I can try something else if you have any suggestions.
if anyone still has this problem: open the console select gage use command: removeallitems (gage should be naked now) use the command: resurrect he should now have the mod armor
Any chance we could get an optional file with just the outfit for our own character? Edit: Nevermind it seems you can just get the outfit via console commands
Im really new in using mods and i love this one tho, i already have the other 2 mods needed for this one installed and working, i also have this one instaled, but it doesnt work. Do you have any ideia what im doing wrong?
Hmm...so his face isn't showing up? Did you already have Gage loaded up when you downloaded this mod. Fallout 4's save system is wonky in the sense that some changes added to characters already on screen or loaded into the game won't work on a existing save. Try starting a new game and spawning him close to you to see if that works.
How essential is it that we have Eyes of Beauty for this to work, like will it just make all the other changes but leave the eyes default or will it turn his eyes "missing texture purple" or make them disappear, or will it just ctd at launch for missing the eyes of beauty esp? Like i really like this Gage, right, and i already have the facial hair mod, but the eyes thing seems to require the use of ANOTHER mod to work properly that can only be installed manually. I mean, i can totally do that if i have to, but i'd like to avoid the extra hassle if i can, so just looking for an answer as to if i can skip the eyes mod(s).
Love the freckles btw, that and the scars are what's really selling me hard on this :thumbsup: And thats some really nice work on the facial features, he still looks like himself (unlike a lot of other companion mods out there) he just generally looks better and younger without looking like he's some kind of supermodel or like some anime-esque idealized bishonen. He's sexier and better looking, but he also looks more REAL, more HUMAN, which is a really hard thing to achieve. Good job!
edit: ok so, looking further into Eyes of Beauty i can say i would REALLY rather not have to install that mod. i now can't tell if i actually need "More Custom Eyes Options" or .NET Framework or both and what else is required for it to work and the installation instructions are a mess, and there is no support in the posts tab from the author since december so i doubt im going to get any answers about it anytime soon.
So if your Gage DOES really require Eyes of Beauty as an esp can i request a version that does NOT require it? please please please? i love this Gage so much but i really really really REALLY dont want to have to get the eyes thing, especially since this would be the only thing i would be getting it for....
Ok so go ahead and ignore most of what i said up there about the eyes thing because I gave in and gave Eyes of Beauty a try, and it turned out to be simpler than it seemed.
The problem is, I got CTDs after trying to load my game from the menu. At first I thought I must have installed the eyes thing wrong, but when I went through the standard process of turning off new mods one by one to see which is causing the problem, I found that I only got CTDs with your mod enabled, and that when NewGage was disabled it would not CTD, even if the Eyes mod was still enabled.
I have all the required esps (both eyes and facial hair as well as DLCNukaWorld) and I got the correct version of the eyes thing (fixed custom lashes) but it still crashes every time I try to load up a game. The only thing I can think of is I got the standalone version instead of the all-in-one installer, but IDK how that would that effect it? Is there anything that can fix this? Please respond, i am balls out excited to get this new Gage into my game and I can't have him until this problem is resolved.

Do you have looksmenu so I can make you a preset of the gage, and you can just add it onto your Gage?
hey, no worries on the late reply, i'm pretty late replying back myself lol. thanks for making the new version for me! no sorry i dont have looksmenu. i can look into getting it, but last i heard the new update broke that too, so if that's still the case i may have to wait until it's updated to work with the new F4SE, or until FaceRipper is fixed. dang creation club (shakes fist). in the meantime i've started a new playthrough and am no where near getting to go to nukaworld yet, so we have some time before i even meet Gage lol. if i end up getting looksmenu i will let you know
