thank you for bringing this! I always fix sanctuary every time I start over. with the salvageable homes patched up, you were able to save a few hours of my life (as well as the rest of us) from having to do it all over and over again. keep safe champ! ^^,
This is the best sanctuary blue print I've found so far simply because it is so restrained. you only fixed what needed fixing an left it at that giving your downloaders a good starting point for a realistic rebuild of sanctuary. the only thing that is missing for me are snap points on the exterior doors of the houses, if that could be added this mod would be perfect.
Well it isn't technically a mod so I couldn't add snap points to the doorways. Someone would need to make a door post with snap points that could then be placed inside the house model. Have you tried Place Everywhere: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424/
It will let you slip a door right in without a problem. I would offer to do it myself, but either I, or Vortex, screwed up everything when trying to transfer to Vortex from NMM, and I've never bothered to recover from it. So I won't.
Well after I posted I decided to take a closer look at your mod in w/s mode, to my delite it turned out that all the pieces you added can still be manipulated. I have a mod with wall floor and ceiling parts for both pre and post war Sanctuary houses. Using the roof units you placed I was able to rebuild one of the houses (hammer house) from the roof down after scraping the original house but leaving the parts that you added. I'll see if I can send you some screen shots in the next few days. The only pieces that I have not figuered out how to keep are window units you added, I need to play around with alignment to make the fit.
I have now uploaded the images I promised to your images section on the nexus mod page. I used all yellow post war wall sections but there are other colours to choose from. I might do a version with mixed colour walls later to give the impression of scavenging parts from multiple buildings to make one habitable one. The name of the mod used to make these images is, Rebuild - Modular Sanctuary Pre-War and Post-War Build Set.
Up date I am using a mod now that adds snap points to the doors of the SS and the hammer house across the road, also the build mod with post war Sanctuary walls etc also has snapable door ways inside and out. So I am able to slot those in where needed. I found the file you suggested in Place Everywhere which was also a great help THX for the tips/
Awesome work I hope you´re not offended by me imitating the front fix of the houses (glass/wall/pillar combo) for my Sanctuary built. In exchange I can offer a wall-layout / front- & back entrance for your blueprint. Unfortunately I´m working on the same settlement right now...
By the way: Have you used Place everywhere?`It is an absolute horrorshow fixing the roofs without addidtional mods, since there are a lot of "no build zones" around them.
Imitation is the greatest form of flattery so it's all good.
If I hadn't used Place Everywhere the roofing would have been nearly impossible.
Oh manI All your blueprints are the best! I'm pretty sad Transfer Settlements is out of commission until it's updated to the new F4SE (I know I could roll back, but I can wait). I'm not all that clever when it comes to actual building layout designs. But I still try.
Thx, and I feel the same about TS-mod. I really love it, won´t roll back and absolutely hope that it will run more stable in future updates. That´s the key to more users.
Very nice! Will definitely include this in my next game. Would not still be playing FO4 were it not for CDante's mod but this is the first blueprint I've downloaded. You've patched the place up using the (vanilla) materials at hand in ways that make sense. And done it vastly better than I've been doing.
A perfect example of the old saying "less is more"
Well, I've looked at a few blueprints and I really like Space2jump's settlements, but most of the settlements require so many mods installed that I didn't want to deal with it. This was meant to be a good starting point, so I'm glad you like it and feel free to upload your own screenshot sometime down the line when you've got it built up.
That has been my reaction as well; too many required mods that either don't interest me or overlap with Creative Clutter. Dug around in the category and did find a couple vanilla mods I'll use along with yours in my next game. FourteenApples' Murkwater Construction settlement really seems to fit the site, and woodfuzzy's Croup Manor is a very low impact mod (and a bit of a DIY effort).
FYI, Woodylicious has a unique mod out that might interest you: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24951/?
That is pretty neat looking. I wonder if Business Settlements could be patched into that Settlement Menu Manager mod. I don't tend to like a lot of workshop addons because the workshop menu itself is so unwieldy and I'm only talking about the base game.
Usually, I don't use Transfer Settlements blueprints because they don't quite work with my style but this'll work beautifully for what I had planned. Really nice work, looking forwards to using this in my build.
PS: Your trees are pretty.
Edit: Found that my greenhouse windows don't have glass in them, so I was wondering if your using an additional mod for that. If so, would love a link.
The windows are the standard warehouse windows. There are some variations with complete glass (my preference) or broken glass. I did use Place Everywhere to shrink the windows down to fit a little better. Check the "Warehouse" building set walls in the vanilla building supplies. If you're talking about greenhouses are you using Homemaker or another mod?
Maybe it's a hidden texture option because I play on Ultra settings where lower settings don't render the window alpha layer so you simply get a perfectly clear glass pane instead of dirty one?
That must be it. I have to, unfortunately, play on lower settings to run Fallout 4 with all it's handy-dandy mods so the settings probably hide glass. Thanks for all your help and for a real nice blueprint to get me started on a different take of Sanctuary! Will post images when I complete my build!
