New update is up. It features Pistol 3rd Person idle fix and all previous fixes in ba2 archives. If you had first Hotfix, please remove all folders that start with "Wattz" in Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\Animations\Weapon

I haven't done a review of anything in a while, so I apologize if this comes across as the insane ramblings of Lorenzo Cabot.

The Wattz 3000 laser rifle is an AWESOME weapon mod. It's models and textures are expertly crafted and it's animations are wonderful. Obviously a lot of work and effort went into the creation of this weapon. I also really, really like how you can swap the legendary weapons effects by switching the paint jobs, allowing you to have a Wattz Laser Rifle with two legendary effects if you're lucky. Or if you cheat, like I did.

Currently, I'm running it on my Brotherhood of Steel Character and...I really like it. It works extremely well and actually feels like it fits with the character. Because I love my Laser Guns on my Sentinel's, it also feels like I've got an end-game option and am not going to find my weapon of choice (previously a laser rifle) slowly phased out as I gain levels because it's damage hasn't kept up with the enemy's health sponginess. Ad Victoriam!

But in spite of the magnificence of this weapon, there are some things that I don't like. One is just personal preference, the other feels like a bug, but I could be wrong.

The first is the charge counter on the Rifle-grips. This is just my personal opinion, but that charge counter is somewhat distracting while I'm playing. It doesn't feel like it actually serves a purpose, and the damage penalty you have if you fire the shots too quickly in succession seems like it was put in entirely to justify the counter's existence. In my personal opinion, when the intended purpose of an ammo counter didn't pan out, the feature should've been removed for a cleaner weapon mod. But again, that's just my thoughts. Maybe an option to install one into the rifle grip, like how a Bracketed Laser Musket allows you to build a beam Focuser, Splitter and such?

The second, is probably a bug. Actually, scratch that, it is a bug. When you're in power armor and you're walking or running with this weapon drawn in 1st Person Power Armor, it plays the non-powered armor walk/run cycle. Seriously, you can check this - exit power armor and walk or run with this weapon. Then enter power armor - it's the same animation with powered armor footsteps. If you go to 3rd person, you have the same lumbering walk we're all used too in power armor, but then when you go to first, it uses the non-power armor walk cycle. It's very jarring and I hope it gets fixed soon.

But all in all, those two things are just nitpicks of a masterful weapon mod. Seriously, it looks great, your character's look great using it, and it's a true, late-game laser weapon, especially the Disintigrator which does nasty, nasty things to enemies which get on the wrong end of the weapon. Seriously, if you're not sure if you want to download this weapon, but want a viable, stylish late-game option for lasers, give it a shot. You owe it to your characters to give them a good laser weapon.

Who needs damn lore thing? just open consele and type help watts 4 > player.additem and Done. This mod looks good, but too many scripts for a long game run savegame that can break the gameplay.

I played throughout the game on one character and I only found... what, 1 unique Wattz 3000 rifle. I have started a second playthrouh (after a moderate break) and haven scoured Boston in hopes of running across one of the unique rifles. That has not been the case so I was wondering if I could ask for spoilers, or some help narrowing down the hints provided in the Mod's description here.

If there's anything I could complain about, is the lack of actual Faction Paints. Such as the Minutemen and Railroad.

Easily my favorite energy weapon mod for this game, period. The gun looks, feels and is *powerful*, and all the extra skins and customization options make the weapon that much more impressive. It's animated gorgeously, and thanks to the 1st Person Power Armor fix ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43260 ), it'll be perfect for my BoS playthrough! The sounds on the reload are just so satisfying, too~!!

Though, on the sound note, my favorite legendary variant, the Disintegrator, has one minor thing that's keeping me from using it as much as I want to- and that's the ridiculously loud impact sounds. Putting it in full auto is enough to blow my ears off! Looking at it in FO4Edit, it is marked to use the default impacts, being PlasmaSmallImpactSet [IPDS:0015BE22]- but at the same time, it has an explosion effect upon impact in-game, and no mod I have alters Plasma impacts. What could be done to lower the volume on this weapon's plasma impacts and this one alone?

Is it normal for mine to say it has a fire rate of 0? It fires extremely fast and vaporizes anything even with it's normal damage it's op af. It's an automatic one I got from a legendary though it has no legendary effects (it was a normal drop, the legendary item was armor)

I wish there was a way to lower the damage. Base damage is listed at "0" in FO4edit and there's two dozen modifications and I can't see the damage modifier in any of them. So far it kills absolutely anything way too quick

The base damage listed for any weapon indicates ballistic damage, which this weapon doesn't have. In FO4 Edit, all the way at the bottom of the weapon stats, you will see a listing for Damage Types. That's where you'll find the energy damage of these weapons.

Found it, thanks. It's listed at 40, whereas the normal laser rifle is at 24. Considering almost every modification adds damage I'll see if dropping the base damage will balance it out

I am now having this problem as well, after coming back from a long pause. Is there a fix for the auto-fire mode? I actually like using my never-ending Wattz, but without full auto it's kind of not as good as some of the other weapons.

Okay, tested, the weapon still fires fine, but if one of my settlers is equipped with it, I'm not sure if they fire it. And if I go into the weapons bench, I can mod them to full auto and it appears to work sometimes. Is this just a bug that I'll have to deal with?
