User beware; I believe this mod was the cause of me having a crazy amount of CTDs during game play.
The only thing this mod really does in function is increase the damage the launcher does and decrease the weight. Adding scopes is pointless if you're using lock-on, and adding separate slots for the useless bayonet and useless muzzle is as amazing as it sounds.
I'd suggest avoiding this mod due to the mod conflict crash potential unless you specifically need a feature from it.
x4 zoom scope makes no sense at all. Rocket launchers don't need that much "zoom" in their range finder unless its stationary and u need to actually lock the target and keep the beam on it like TOW or fire and forget systems like JAVELIN. From personal experience firing RPG-7s (ATGL-L) in the army, I can tell you that the most effective range for any rocket launchers to properly hit a target is 50 to 100 meters which makes precision optics absolutely useless., hence why we change it for a red dot :)
While I do totally agree that the missile launcher needed to be reworked I do get the distinct impression that you have no idea what a recoilless rifle is.
A recoil-less rifle is a firearm, explosive or otherwise, that has its recoil counteracted by launching a projectile of equal weight in the opposite direction when fired or by venting gasses generated by firing out the back of the weapon to lessen the felt recoil. They are typically artillery but some anti-machine/anti-material rifles can be classified as such, such as the M18 Recoilless Rifle.
So I do, in fact, have a clear idea of what a recoilless rifle is. It is now in question whether or not you know just what kind of weapons can be classified as such.
missile: A guided, self propelled projectile Rocket: An unguided self propelled projectile Launcher: a structure that holds a rocket or missile, typically one used as a weapon, during launching. Rifle: a gun, especially one fired from shoulder level, having a long spirally grooved barrel intended to make a bullet spin and thereby have greater accuracy over a long distance. Artillery: large-caliber guns used in warfare on land. recoil-less rifle: (RCLR) or recoilless gun is a type of lightweight tube artillery that is designed to allow some of the propellant gases to escape out the rear of the weapon at the moment of ignition, creating forward thrust that counteracts some of the weapon's recoil.
We can do this all you like but at the end of the day launcher platforms and recoil-less rifles are fundamentally different. personally, I would like nothing more in this game than to be able to pick up an M3 Carl Gustav and lob 84mm air burst and high explosive munitions at an enemy because I find that being able to reload the Gustav for a followup shot is much more satisfying that 1 time use missile and rocket platforms like the M72 LAW,AT-4, FGM-148 Javelin or the FIM-92 Stinger. If we were arguing over the term "Bazooka" I would be inclined to agree with you as it came to encompass both shoulder fired artillery and shoulder fired self propelled munitions but unfortunately that is not the case.
If you truly wish to be technically, the missile launcher is, in fact, a rocket launcher when not equipped with a Targeting Computing and that Bethesda generally sucks when it comes to firearm knowledge. However, I don't care for this little argument anymore.
Any more smart-ass comments and I'll be forced to take measures. Good day.
The only problem I have with this mod is I now have no missiles left. The quad-barrel launcher I stumbled across is now light enough for me to take (and therefore use) on my wanderings. Furthermore, being able to easily launch 2, or maybe 3, missiles in short order against the more heavy duty foes (deathclaws, larger robots, etc) has meant I don't avoid these as often as I might otherwise.

Result? No more missiles. Sigh ...
Endorsed, of course.
