Just outside of the financial district, along the waterfront, a small group of settlers have staked
their claim to a few buildings and made it their home. In the little town of Long Wharf,
you'll find an armor/clothing vendor, a weapons vendor, an antiques shop, and a small diner.
(Who's Fenton? Who knows? I just work here, man.) Heading along the pier, you'll find a small
clinic and a camp of Super Mutants. If you clear them out, the townspeople might even be grateful
enough to let you use the workbench there and help make the town even more prosperous.
You'll also get a player home apartment (no building required!) with two cats, crafting stations,
realistic lighting/weather effects, window boxes with growing plants, and lots of other immersive
custom amenities. And, if you're feeling adventurous, you might even find a secret location as you explore.
-------------------
This is very much a work in progress. There's so much to build on in this area, and I've only scratched
the surface so far with what I want to do. I tried to make it as customizable as I could: there are
toggle switches (hit them twice) next to the workbench which can make your settlement clean if that's
how you like to play, or you can keep it all wastelanded up. I also placed markers along the edge of
the end of the pier for you to snap shack foundations to and you can build your own pier. I also made
the boats alongside work as placement surfaces in the workshop mode, because come on, who doesn't want
to live on a boat? That's basically why you're here, right? I also didn't want to place an inaccurate
build area marker, so I added some lanterns along the border to let you know approximately how far you can build.
I tried my best to keep the frame rate above 25 for this whole place. It was not easy.
You will probably experience some lag when you initially load in. Sit still for a second,
and it should get better. If you're really having trouble, try using the toggle switches to
remove the clutter from the area. If it gets really bad, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
There is a random encounter location next to the diner. I didn't want to remove it, so I just
nudged it over. I did add a couple of turrets to help defend the place since that area isn't buildable,
and let's be honest, the settlers would have defenses already.
In future versions, I will be expanding up and down the coastline and adding quests (to the best
of my ability; I like making things PS4 friendly). If you walk around, you'll see a lot of buildings
similar to the ones I fixed up so far that can easily be turned into something fun. So, yeah,
keep an eye out for that. And, as usual, if you have any suggestions or run into any problems,
or even if you just had a good time playing the mod and want to let me know, please do let me know!
I try my best to keep up with the comments. Enjoy!
