Damn. I like 90% of this - a LOT - but I cannot fathom why all sheet metal was made..... lumpy. Like it all turned to oatmeal lol. Metal doesn't do that xD

The enhanced corrosion looks great but all the lumpy metal is too jarring for my eyes :(. Has anyone perchance made a patch that removes just this change?

Quite a shame, it turned the metal sheet into crumbled paper

I have this same problem. The metal just looks awful. If anyone has a fix I'd love to get it.

I'm pretty sure you could use Mod Organizer 2 and once you install the mod go into it (right click - Open in Explorer)
Unpack the BA2 file (with a program called BSA Browser) to turn it into loose files and then manually delete the ones you don't like. Delete the BA2 file after unpacking it all keeping the folder structure.
If you search for "metal" in the loose files 27 of the .dds files have "metal" in the name.
So you could rename them, delete them, or even selectively add them to a new mod you can create in MO2.
This is basic stuff guys, that you can actually go in there and change things to your liking.

You can view the .dds files in FastStone Image Viewer or Paint.NET.
Just make sure you keep the folder structure if you convert it to loose files.

You can even do something like download another texture mod, turn that into loose files, and just delete everything from that texture mod except your problem metals and then add that mod below this one in the load order. Then it will have all of this except the metals from the other texture mod and call it a "patch".

You're sure jw?   I've always had good luck with vivid series.  Everytime I had a problem it was an older mod that hasn't been updated in a while

Do you have scrap everything installed? It might be the problem.

Texture mods don't break specific areas, unless they're sized to incorrect dimensions and even then, it's very rare.  Saying "Your mod broke my thing" without any proof that you've done anything to troubleshoot, or verify that it's the problem and blaming another mod because you messed up sounds like you just messed up.  Check your math, reticulate your splines, and come back with something useful so someone can help you.

As someone who spent a week finding out why my game was randomly crashing to desktop, I can say this was doing it. Buffout crash logs didn't give anything useful (HollyShrub01 was the only plant listed, multiple times even, in the tens of crashes I had). Most crashes only included information about what I had done in the moments leading up to it (Cram can physics came up a couple times as the "cause" of the CTD).

After disabling this mod, I can play for hours at a time without crashes. This is now the only mod out of my 122 mod list that I left out and I don't get any CTDs anymore.

I did a lot of reading and there was a reddit thread I came across that suggested the random crashes could be caused by an interaction with True Storms but that was only one person who "tested" it (and it wasn't in my large list or the small list I made for testing). There could be any number of reasons this mod causes CTD, but I found that loading the Commonwealth from any interior after +30 minutes of playing was a surefire way to get it to happen. I don't know why and I didn't leave it installed long enough to experiment any longer.

This was the culprit causing my Crash To Desktop problem. Almost like clockwork, after 30-40 minutes of playing I would get a CTD (both loading from an interior to the Commonwealth, or walking around doing random s#*!). I created a new save after doing a clean install with this and a couple other mods (not counting all the optimization mods and patches) and found this one to be the culprit after disabling it and finally being able to play for hours at a time for a few days now.

Buffout crash logs were useless as the only one that had a consistent type of crash was caused by HollyShrub01 (which I couldn't find anyone else having a problem with), but that was the only crash type with something useful. An example of the average log was "caused" by a cram can (right as I picked up the can, it CTD and Buffout listed it 4-6 occurrences/the-culprit). Playing for hours without a crash was great, but after turning this back on I got another CTD within an hour.

If anyone else is getting weird CTDs, this might be it. The number of people that have zero issues with it make me think that I just am unlucky though. YMMV. I have given up on better textures.

Gotta agree... seems like a step in the wrong direction. Dark, muddled and all my NPCs have permanent black face now.

I have immediately noticed the difference and not in a good way, graphics are way darker and less colorful, especially the terrain, feels like a -1 gen downgrade overall. I do not recommend.

Tip for using along with Vulkan Pyroclast for a high quality complex parallax blasted apocalypse.

Load vivid all in one esp before vulkan esp's.
(This will overhaul buildings, bridges etc. Not covered by vulkan)

Download LOOSE FILES VERSION of vivid landscapes, rocks, & the complex parallax versions of these. Optimal quarry sites too for consistency.
(Loose files will be have priority over bsa, thus changing landscape but leaving rock grass untouched in vulkan)

Extract & delete glowing sea files inn vivid landscapes & re-zip it
(This will keep the volcanic glowing sea from vulkan active).

Download all the vivid lods, let these esp's load after vulkan esp's.

    Optimal:
Download More Grass & activate only the enhancedgrass_med.esp. This will increase the rocks in pyroclast.
Download More vines for a even deader look on bulidnings.

Run the game & shed a tear.

The videos and pictures look very good, but:
    1. Does this mod help if you have the official HD DLC installed? Is there an improvement here?
    2. how does it work together with other mods, like :
    Fallout 4 HD Overhaul
    FlaconOils complete retexture
F04 HD overhaul Optimices Vanilla Textures
    SavrenX HD
Valius - High resolution texture pack 4K
    3. Are my mods (listed above) worse?
    4. Are there well compiled complete lists of HD texture mods on the net? A ‘BEST OFF’ so to speak?
