Being the helpful and nice friend of the Drivables that they are, ShadowLiger brought these to our attention for people who'd like to have a closer camera view when riding.
Before you do anything, backup your ini. Then, for a closer 3rd person camera view when riding, add (or change if existing) this to your Fallout.ini (or Falloutcustom.ini): [camera] fVertibirdAutoVanityZoom=350.0000 fVertibirdVanityModeMaxDist=2000.0000 fVertibirdVanityModeMinDist=350.0000
Adjust those numbers to your liking (that's a good setup for the small animals, like the Radstag, but may not be great for the trucks)."
**Note that this is also linked to Vertibird flight perspective and any of our other drivables.**
***While I'll mention it on this page, we do not support ini edits, so please do this at your own risk...and, again, backup your ini before hand.***
NOTE; If you can't find them in the work shop menu: The Stable and Radstags should be in their own category in the main workshop menu, normally far to the right end. If you don't see them (icon is a keychain with a Giddy head), try traveling to the center of another settlement (doesn't have to be a vanilla settlement, but does have to be a fully functional settlement) to kickstart the menu install script.
From our testing there is no tuurning in vr on these, sadly, hence why we haven’t put them in the VR category.
Maybe someday if one of us gets a nice, shiny VR head-thingy, we can work something out...but for now, there’s no money burning a hole in my pocket for that. =(
Specifically there is no turning in 1st person mode which is the only mode avail in VR. All of our ride/drive-ables require 3rd person to be able to steer.

EDIT: I wish the Radstags were essential :(
EDIT 2: After doing some digging, I found this and now my Radstag is essential!
…IIRC…yeah.
