    A bug may occur which prevents protector of acadia and nerd rage to trigger, unless you open your pipboy when the conditions are met.
    I fixed this by removing both perks via console and then adding them again. There is a guide on the nerd rage page in the bugs section how to do that.

    Protector of acadia now always gives me 1000 DR when below 20% HP and works together with nerd rage.

    This mod works perfectly fine.

    why exactly does the animation break with this? Is there a way to prevent that?

      Which animation do you mean? The Pip-Boy on-screen Perk animation that triggers when the ability does (like Nerd Rage)? That was only added with this mod and not in the base-game AFAIK. However, yes - it doesn't work in-game when you assign the animation with either the Creation Kit or xEdit for some reason.

      I have no idea why. I worked on the latest version of this mod as part of Bash and Unarmed Damage Increase Fix. Unless the Creation Kit somehow formats the file location incorrectly, I know the animation doesn't work even when it's pointing to the correct file location inside the packed BA2s. I experimented with a few variations on file path but not many and that may be irrelevant anyway.

      There are only 3 Perks the Creation Kit could assign the animation to between Destroyer/Protector of Arcadia (without adding custom ones) and none of them showed up in game for me when testing. On one occasion when Launching the game without F4SE (not sure why I decided to experiment with that), all sound was disabled but I swear I could hear the Perk SFX trigger when the animation would have. It might have been my imagination, but if true that may be some clue as to the SFX vs the animation, what can show up in-game and possibly some link with F4SE? I was just trial and error guessing - I don't have a lot of serious programming skills outside of QA and xEdit experience. This is a bit out of my league without some help.

      This info probably wasn't helpful, but I would be willing to work some more on it if you think it can be resolved. I put out an open invitation as part of my mod asking if anyone knows how to get it working. I do know some more experienced mod authors on Discord and could ask for assistance if anyone has a clue about this. I'd like to see it working as well, but it's more of a nice to have rather than a need for me.

      Hopefully this was the animation you were referring to. Otherwise, never mind lol.

    so i know your mod fixes protector of acadia to proc 100% of the time when reaching low health, but do the resistances actually get applied when the perk procs? Did you fix that part of it as well? the internet/wiki seem to be on the fence as to whether the damage resistances (when the perk procs) actually apply. i guess i could get to 20% max hp via rads, and then fire a mini nuke at my feet to find out. but idk how definitive that kind of test would be, so thought i'd ask. 

    also, question about the alternate version. so if you are below 20% hp, is destroyer of acadia active indefinitely?

      I can't answer the first part in good faith since it was way too long ago. Your best bet is to test it yourself, if it works, defence values should change in pip boy. If not there is a good chance it's not working.
      As for destroyer of acadia if I remeber right in my version there are 2 conditions: health below 20% AND you ENTERED combat. Once the perk duration is over you will have to leave and reenter combat. I was playing chem-slow motion-explosive rifle commando-rad glass cannon build at the time, so this version made sense to me. Again it should work like nerd rage.
      I know I am a little late, but the anser still might be usefull to other people.

      I tested it and the resistances do show up in pip-boy. Only thing that doesn't seem to work for me was the animation doesn't play. Could be my mod setup. But I just wanted the perk fixed so that's no big deal.

      Kudos to you for noticing this man. This totally needs to be addressed by the patch team. It's too critical to be it's own separate mod even though you totally deserve credit.

    V 1.1 Is out and includes fix for Far Harbor survivalist. Please let me know if everything works as it should. Also tell me if there are other Far Harbor perks that require atention, might as well do them all.

      It definitely worked for my preexisting save where I already had the perk (Survivalist). Checked it out in fo4edit, changing the tag from spell to ability was all it took haha you learn something everyday I guess. Endorsed.

    Do you know if Far Harbor Survivalist actually works? When you get the perk your defense numbers don't actually change.

      I've just checked and it doesn't, however I immidiatly found a solution (at least it worked for my game). I can post a seperate esp if you are interedted. It's a very minor change.

      Or I'll just include that change in main files and rename the mod to just far harbor perk fix.

      Awesome, that would be great. I didn't know if maybe it did work and it just didnt show the numbers in the pip boy, or if it actually didn't do anything when I first got it. I'm definitely interested in seeing how you got that fixed.
