Perfect! With Nutulator's 155 Howitzer, Simple Artillery Strikes, and Sandbag Fortification mods this will be the perfect firebase. My own little Hill 881. Many thanks.
In the description you said you were considering making it even bigger... why not expand it to include the nearby bridge over the cliffs that merchants use to reach their stop?
This was exactly what I was about to ask. It's irritated me since day 1 that the most logical place to put defenses in the whole area lies outside the build zone.
Well, I tried this out and determined that the settlers will go down into the ravine and can never get back out lol. Can't go to the cliff side because of this too. They fall down and get stuck.
So I have been testing your mods and it looks like they only partly function with Sim Settlements.
You can build in the expanded area and your plots will upgrade but settlers will not interact with the plot. They seem to use cooking stations and other non-Sim Settlement assets in the expanded area though. They tend to just stand around and do nothing instead of their normal routine.
I've seen this behavior in non-expanded settlements, like Sanctuary. I've returned to settlements with SimSettlement buildings in it, finding settlers doing their job.
Yes, that is script lag. What I am talking about is different. I think its a limitation of the game, nothing neeher has/hasn't done. There are just some areas that are dead zones for AI. This is why I didn't make a bug report.
I have been intending on checking out the SS.esm in the CK. My theory is that their mod also modifies/adds new (invisible) build triggers. This is why you can build outside of the original old build area and assign settlers to vanilla jobs but not SS jobs. Again, theory.
Hi ... Your mods are a great idea .. well done kiddo ... I'm using 2 already and I'm about to add this one to a new game build. Like many others out there, I can't wait for you to finish all the settlements and release that all-in-one version. I imagine I'll be using your mods for a very long time.
Before I go ... could you answer a question .... Are you mods safe to add to an existing game and to settlements you've already interacted with ??
Good work on this! The only issue that I found was with the pathing for provisioners. They would get stuck on the cliff going in circles just past the extended boundaries of the area. Other than that, nice job.
Liking the look of these :3 My only real question is if you plan on bundling all of these together when yer done, and if it's compatible with stuff like Spring Cleaning's compatibility patch?
I keep looking at Starlight and wondering what could be done there, other than going up the hill? I am loving what you did with the SLOG going down the hill.
with Starlight you could extend the border south all the way to the road, making sure to make all the bushes/trees/weeds scrappable. also the area east of it. i wouldnt go up the hill, but i would get rid of that dumb bloatfly spawn on the side of the hill there. also for tenpines if you want to add some water, get SOE and place water pieces raised off the ground and then place some kind of rocks/sandbags around it, making it look like a manmade pond. thats what the author of the wasteland extended mod did at tenpines iirc.
My suggestion for Starlight is to extend east a bit--the bus would be nice to scrap (and I think there are a couple cars too), and I have always wanted access to that big billboard. Yes, I have a thing for billboards. And a little west, so you can control the road behind the screen. And north! And south! Possibly up! lol
Seriously, loving these, and loving having visible borders in build mode. Keep up the great work!
