Seems like the mod hasn't seen any activity for a while now, but I'm hoping someone will bundle it all up into a single plugin that also adds the various jerky to food vendors around the Commonwealth.
Unfortunately I wouldn't even know where to begin on such a task. Firstly I would have to somehow take the unused human meat in-game file and convert it into a craftable, edible and beneficial food object. Secondly it would need new meshes and textures to reflect how it looks before and after cooking, I would have to add it to the leveled loot list AND place several pieces of human flesh manually throughout all of the Commonwealth and all of the subsequent DLC's. For such a simple request it's just too time consuming and arduous for me to even attempt. My apologies.
Endorsed as hard as i can. Im trying to make my fallout as close as i can to a real "inmersive experience" in terms of inventory management, weapon dmg and things like that, your mod is perfect in terms of weight, materials to craft, etc. In the other hand im having the same issue as the others: too many esps. i tried to merge all of the esps in one following a guide but im terrible doing that kind of stuff so now my deathclaw jerky asks me for radstag meat (lol) so im asking if you going to make one esp with all or something.
While I appreciate the endorsement whole-heartedly, there aren't any plans at this time to merge all of the esp's into one. The only way that I could safely merge the files is by making a new esp and reworking every single recipe all in one go, which in turn would incorporate recipes that others may not want. I'd prefer to give everyone a choice with the recipes that I've already made in a handy list rather than spend all day reworking all of them into a single esp.
I would but I'm not entirely sure on how to go about doing that. In theory I could use FO4Edit to merge my eps's into one but I've heard conflicting reports on that method causing more issues than it's worth. The only other alternative that I'm aware of is by making a new esp from scratch and redo all of the recipes in one go and that's not happening.
If someone were willing to merge them for me and I put aside some time to test it, then I would be interested in adding a merged option to my mod list. Until then, I'm not presently interested in pursuing such a task that I have little to no knowledge of. I understand that there's tutorial videos out there and that I could conceivably figure it out but I've learned all that I wish too for the time being. My apologies, and I sincerely hope that you enjoy my content as it is for now.
No worries - i was mainly suggesting it for Onniestoregon4. I merged mine with a larger merge that i have. I'll do one for you later today of only yours and send you a link to the file
Place the meat and cloth in between sheets of aluminum and let sit in the sun until ready. The aluminum retains a steady temperature and heat while the cloth soaks up the juices and helps with the drying process. Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining things.
Yeah, but the aluminum and cloth wouldn't be consumed, you could reuse them. It would be like throwing your pot away every time you made soup. I agree that a version that just consumes the meat would make more sense. Still a cool idea and it would be the perfect food for the wasteland. I'm surprised it wasn't in the game especially in survival mode.
In the real world you would best consider replacing the aluminium with something slightly less toxic. This is old news but I have avoided aluminum cooking pans' since the 1980's when rumors about it began to circulate as well as a potential link to neurological condition's. http://www.naturalnews.com/043706_aluminum_neurotoxicity_neuron_mitochondria.html
Fantastic metal for other uses but not food for this very reason, it was linked to early senility for one example.
Plenty of steel in the game and also plenty of copper which arguably both conduct heat better than aluminium, copper especially and it has some benefit's for health as well.
I will second PaddyGarcia on his idea for recipe's and flavor's you have created a mod which a lot of people will actually like it just need's more diversity (Recipes also cure the meat and kill of bacteria preserving it, if only fallout had chilies).
I am going to download to endorse, I am using the Dustbowl mod which turn's Boston into a semi arid desert (just need's cactus and gecko's to complete the NV feel) so this will go very well with that.
Granted the aluminum and cloth wouldn't necessarily be "consumed" but why would you want to reuse the nasty old cloth and aluminum when you could just go grab a fresh piece of cloth and aluminum can? Just figured it'd be more practical and hygenic.
I was unaware of the toxic risks that aluminum poses but I still stand by my decision. The point was to make it practical and readily available. Granted I could've used steel or copper, but I feel that those metals in a post-apocalyptic setting are best suited as building materials and wiring for electrical devices. Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say, and I appreciate the endorsement. I'll look into adding additional "flavors" this evening with various effects seeing as how a few people desire it to be done. I have added Mole Rat Bites for now, hopefully something more like that is what you guys are wanting?
Now you've got to combine them in one esp. Then you've got to add mole rat, deathclaw... (No seafood jerky, plz.) Then we'll need BBQ, Teriyaki, Lo-Salt, Cool Ranch, Vegan...
Hmmm, Deatchclaw Jerky. Not gonna delve into multiple flavors, but I think I can add a few more. I'll also work on an all-in-one esp just as soon as I've added everything.
If you are interested in continuing along this line, you might want to look at http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13158/?. There has been no activity for over a year, so the author might be open to having someone else continue it.

P.S. - thank you so much for these mods!
