Is there any way to use the creation kit to remove the grass in Red Rocket or any building floors? I find it very annoying that I can't scrap the grass in buildings. If i knew how to do it, I would make a patch myself. Thanks for the lawn mowing mod I love it!
I'm also trying to do the same right now. If I make a breakthrough I'll let you know. Maybe even make a post on reddit. It's a nightmare trying to go through all the creation kit stuff to figure out how it works xD
The one issue I had with ReGrowth was the weird 'twig' shrubs that spawned all over places like Lexington and Drumlin Diner, making them both FPS s#*!-shows to walk through, and this mod fixes it. Thank you!
Im loving this mod but i would loved to see grass removed from other textures like dirtpath01. is there a way i can do it myself. i\ve been trying to remove the associated grass textures in the CK but i still get grass growing even tho it\s been removed from generator? :/
I might have a sniff around your file and see if I can do something similar for True Grass.
It works pretty well except on settlements where grass grows through the floor of existing structures (Sunshine Tidings is a good example) thus forcing me to build higher above ground than I normally would need to in order to avoid vegetation clipping through the floor.
I tried ReGrowth and found it a little... vigorous for my taste (as in 'try to enter building, find enormous tree blocking my path' vigorous.)
With the way it added trees, I'm beginning to think the tree additions were often scripted in at random, not hand placed. You can usually disable any tree like that (or move it if you want) through console commands. Open console, click on the tree (make sure it's the tree), and then type 'disable' without quotes. It should remove the tree. If the tree doesn't disappear, type in enable and do it over. (you may have clicked on something that wasn't the tree, and disabling invisible stuff could cause a lot of problems, so reenabling mitigates that problem.
Make sure to save before disabling anything, just in case something goes wrong.
Thank you for the suggestion; should have been glaringly obvious!
I might give this mod a shot again in the next playthrough, make it look a bit less Fallout and a bit more The Last of Us.
Obligatory warning about 'markfordelete' and 'disable' indeed. I have on many a occasion obliterated more than I bargained for; cleaning settlements can get a little bit grindy and the mind wanders
Dude. Is there any possibility you could pull the same shenanigans over in the Glowing Sea?
I don't mind the odd tree here and there, but I miss my yellow wasteland of death.
EDIT: Decided to try my hand at patching it the same way you did for asphalt. Turns out, just repeat the null reference on all the glowing sea land textures and viola! the glorious wasteland of death is returned! (also had to disable regrowth's no radstorm esp file, but that is another story)
EDIT2: Got me a DL for it, if anyone else is interested! Can be found here.
This is a life-saving mod. Starlight would look horrible without it! If you ever get around to it, hand-removal of grass in specific areas (such as Covenant) would be fantastic. I'm sure many of us would love you even more. My thought was to try and replace the land on Covenant to one that's less used and remove grass on that texture. That way you don't lose as much grass outside. I know nothing about using the CK though so I might be spewing nonsense
