first question : how hard is it to find a Sentry bot model? i have 2-3 in one game and none in another.(no cc used)
2nd Q : acts as a follower? mods that give followers 'infinite' ammo work? on not tagged/slotted as such?
And : reusable grenades, as refilled ammo, and ammo being so scarce in FO4? (yah , i have an ammo making mod, but still.)
i mean to try it out, but i already am having issues with my game and a few things Not working that who knows what reason. (leather armor with 'ultra-light' mod-reduces weight and and adds 5 points to vats.- NOT. makes me so mad)

It's pretty hard, there are only 3 built in the world, then one in kit form, and a chance to get them in certain lunchboxes.

They act like followers in terms of behavior but don't take up slots, so infinite ammo companion mods shouldn't affect them.

They're hard to craft because they're highly versatile: they have auto-aim with consistent damage, distract from yourself to give you time to heal/reload/prep other weapons, can allow you to stay in stealth, and can be re-crafted so long as you have the materials. They're only as expensive as they are useful

Sorry to hear that bud, I hope you figure it out :)
I don't know if a robot can be allowed in the robot workbench but only have the paint category enabled, but if it is possible that would allow us to apply our colour of choice or faction paints from mods.
I know that bots not originally intended for the workbench can have categories missing, I just don't know if it can be deliberate, and if we had all categories then it just becomes mini automatron robot and loses some of the charm of your original mod. An alternative would be offering a few colours when crafting but then you would have to be the one to include the textures.
Just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.
If anyone still reads the posts here. The archive wasn't named properly thats why it doesn't work to fix rename: BubbleTurretPlacement.ba2 to BubbleTurretPlacement - Main.ba2 Then it will work.
Hello I was trying this out so the mod was last in load order if lo is important, and made a couple to take with me on my travels laser and mini gun I think it was, and the way I understand this is you can throw them like a grenade onto the ground preferably and they will help defend you, I also use a mod that makes makes enemies little stronger, but regardless when I threw o couple of each on the ground near the a gunner group nothing happened they just landed and that was it like I was throwing a pebble at them >_<
IF turrets aren't spawning ----- Got mine working by extracting the Ba2 scripts file (with archive2.exe in tools folder) and placing the extracted files in fallout 4 data folder. Hope this helps someone.
You could make these a reward for quest revolving around a Mad toy maker whom was fired by Wilson Atomatoys for unethical practices - oh and making dangerous toy's. He may have wanted revenge and so built up a sizable arsenal of his creation's but the war came just before he could strike as one possible scenario, perhaps he was a friend of Wayne Gorsky and had his stockpile hidden down in Gorsky's root cellar hideout, you could also make them have a limited life span so the turret's and mini robot's exhaust there power supply and self destruct (with a nice little bang) after a few in game minutes but long enough to do some serious damage.
Then again build-able tiny turret's would have a very useful function for protecting the inside of player built structure's, a turret beside the alarm clock on a bedside table for example.
Great idea, I just can't get that mad toy maker idea out of my head now.
Yiss, I too think they're super cute. I started out with just the bubble turrets, but then a flash of inspiration occurred and the potential cuteness of a tiny little deep-voiced Sentry Bot were too much to resist.

Also, the .ba2 is still misnamed. If you rename it, everything works fine. :)
Uploading fixed version now

This should help. While being super kawaii.
