This is such an essential mod for me now, would love to see Skyrim and Starfield versions of this, hopefully someone else does since this mod is so old lol.

I had to rename my fallout4launcher.exe to fallout4launcher.old.  Then made a copy of F4SE_loader.exe and renamed it also with the .old .  Renamed the F4SE_loader.exe to fallout4launcher.exe and Steam launches it using the F4SE_loader.exe (which is renamed).  It is my solution to the problem.  I recently had to reacquire 9 files because apparently they were corrupted and the game just quit working.  When Steam does this, it replaces the files like a new install, so you have to repeat this process and change your fallout4.ini file again to allow mods, which will be easier if you just copy that file and rename it (i.e.- fallout4.ini to fallout4.bak or fallout4ini.bak).  This isn't the first time I've had a Steam game go wonky on me and have to reacquire the files.  Kind of a PITA, but not often enough to scream about it.  I do NOT have a file remaining called F4SE_loader.exe, and have not had any problems with mods looking for it.  They don't seem to look for the file itself, but rather they look at what's been loaded into memory and being used.  If F4SE isn't loaded, it just doesn't work.

Fun Fact: Some mods require the F4SE exe to be there to work.

What if you made a duplicate of f4se_launcher and renamed the duplicate to Fallout4Launcher and then changed the original to Fallout4Launcher_original. then the folder would container all 3 of those and presumably steam would be duped into loading the F4se duplicate as if it were the original launcher while still having a copy of F4se in the fallout 4 folder

You're a lifesaver! Been tinkering my Steam Deck for AYS, following so many tutorials to no avail; but then I downloaded yours, and BOOM, now I'm running F4SE so easily and smoothly! ?

Ditto. I just attempted to look for something similar to this mod on the SSE Nexus mods and saw nothing even close to this.

      Please make a Skyrim version.

You're THE MAN for typing down simple, step by step instruction. Plenty annoying modders out there who make intolerable hell of a mess type instructions that need to be read 10 times over to understand how to actually apply the mod.

I don't know if they updated the game, but I just did as the instructions stated and I still get "NO_f4se". Can I be instructed on how to get F4SE to work?
It used to work for me a few days ago, now, it seems to me the game doesn't want to use f4se. Any and all help will be thanks in advance....Keep on gaming!
