Love this mod adds so much to a barren, wasteland, desert feel. For anyone using this that wants to use it, but does not want sand dunes blocking buildings in settlement areas like sanctuary but still wants sand in the settlements. Then try this mod "Clean and Simple - Sanctuary Startup", or one of their other clean up mods for different settlements. I have not seen, or used all of them with this yet. But sanctuary clean up worked well sand is there, dunes in the settlement are gone. Also if you have floating vines, or other plant graphics hanging around use this mod "No Ugly Plants and Things 1.0 ", and they almost all go away (99%). (works for the Dustbowl mod as well. ) After ripping the rain and rain sound from True Storms (lightning thunder, radiation, but no rain). this gives it a real Planet of the apes ... forbidden zone feel. I have not tried "Fallout Sahara" yet but intend to soon.
Is there any chance for a lighter version of this mod. I loved it, but it was a bit overkill. I am trying to make my Boston resemble Fallout 2/New Vegas. Thanks and keep up the good work.
ive tried Dust Bowl on its own and it caused the game to lag and stutter alot for me other players seem to be reporting the same issue and the mod author hasnt updated that mod since 2017.
is anybody here who knows how to make the game run smooth with it? i would like to try this mod out but because dust bowl on its own doesnt work for me i dont even have to try this i guess.
Odd that dustbowl is giving you lag and stutter, it really shouldn't. For me it runs at a constant 60+fps and i have a 1080ti. Did your game stutter or lag noticeably beforehand? What others mods do you use? I'd suggest checking out ENB boost to see if that helps.
Basically any mod that's not compressed into Ba2 and comes with texture heavy files will cause issues for certain rigs. However Dustbowl is compressed properly. It could be a different mod that overhauls the game in a way which edits cells, which will lag your game.
