so to whomever is coming back to this and not seeing all the options in looksmenu, and has the brain of a toaster like myself and cant seem to understand why the options you used to have are no longer present-
vortex - plugins - double click LMCC - group - dynamic patches - click sort now at the top.
probably obvious to the script magicians here but hopefully that can give the other simpletons like me the fix for this.
thanks man, its the obvious first option if a mod doesnt work correctly to place it at the top or bottom of the load order and see what happens. but when I need it I often don't remember this
Ahhh self-deprecation my favorite form of flattery!
This is a workaround so if it doesn't go where you want you may have to test out different Groups.
For now Vortex doesn't allow just putting a mod where you know it should go.
Edit: You may want to change the grouping of it's dependencies as well such as LMCC Fix or you could even try the newish 2k LMCC. Although you may have to use this same method to get the load order right. HF!
I've seen amazing presets on the Nexus, and would like to use some of those presets.
This must have been asked a thousand times, but for the sake of the new Fallout fans, after the tv series' success, how do I get these presets to show up in the looks menu?
I've got all the required mods installed, using Vortex.
At the moment this will work only for game versions before the next-gen update. You need the Fallot 4 Script Extender, Loooksmenu and this mod for extended character creating options. Then you need a preset. You can create presets yourself or you can download the ones you like. Make sure that you meet the requirements of downloaded presets. Otherwise you won't get the exact look. Presets are stored in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets (in case you have the Steam version and did not chage the game folder). If your mod manager does not handle the path correctly you can manually copy the presets to this folder. In the game it's best to switch into 3rd person view, open the console and type in "slm 14" (without the quotes). This opens Looksmenu. Press "R" to open the presets, click on one you like and save.
I'm getting crash when I choice certain looks menu presets, anyone know how to fix it? I have downgraded version of the game (1.10.163) and compatible Scrip extender and looksmenu, and since some good mods needs this mod I wanna use it.
Edit: I tried using LMCC 2k Face Textures versions of the mod, and now im not getting crash, but this time I'm getting brown face bug and can't even use some needed mods for some replacer mods. I'm trying to make non-2k version of compendium work.
Hi! Looks Menu Customization Compedium mod stopped working. It's kind of there, but when you change your face, it doesn't show a selection of new tattoos or new face colors.
I don't believe that this is a LMCC issue, I think its an issue with Looksmenu. Chances are like almost everyone else you don't have the option to access presets either. The mod author is currently working on a patch and should be back to working finely again soon.
For anyone having trouble getting most customization options, Real HD Face Textures 2K seems to be incompatible at the moment. For all my testing and troubleshooting (including changing load order, adjusting the .ini, updating, etc) as long as that mod was on it wouldn't work no matter what I did. If anyone has a solution to use both mods I'd love to hear it.
This mod hasn't been (and likely never will be) updated for the new version of Fallout. It appears to have been abandoned since 2017. So you're good using the current version.
Not broken for me - I didn't download the NG update. And yes, that update broke F4SE and Looksmenu and most other F4SE dependent mods. Looksmenu will likely get an update, I don't know about this one, which is Looksmenu dependent. You make the choice, update or not, depending on whether you can live without the mods that became out of date with Bethesa's latest updates.
Uninstall the HD DLC texture pack. I did and no longer have that issue and my game runs better. Texture mods and overhauls here on Nexus are the better choice.
