In my opinion, and many others, darker roads look nicer. I like how it contrasts very well with foliage, and any objects on the road. It looks more gritty, more like Fallout 3.
Please guys, understand that it's not all about realism, especially in a game such as Fallout.
This seems to work everywhere except in Sanctuary. Is that everyone else's experience? I'm trying to figure out if I have something installed that would only effect Sanctuary, and I can't find anything.
I think it's intended. Sanctuary's road model is different from the roads this mod is designed to change. Sanctuary's road was designed to be similar to that of what you see in a neighborhood community where there aren't usually lines that divide which side someone would drive on. It's more commonly found in gated, HOA, or suburbs. It's also a good way to tell that the speed limit within that area is relatively low, such as it being 25 MPH unlike main roads that can go up to 55 MPH. I hope this might help.
Does anyone know if this changes LODs for roads? I don't think it's because of this mod, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else has the issue of road LODs not showing after installing this mod. Thanks!
Since people keep asking about trees, I would suggest looking up Nuclear Reloaded. It's not available on Nexus, but you'll find it easily enough and you can install it with your mod manager. By far the best landscape overhaul I've seen.
@MeesaHorny: 2 k or 4k does matter. it depends on how many high res mods are already installed and the amount of vram available. so think before you download. too many 4k textures may introduce stutter and not fully loaded blurry mipmaps during gameplay - regardless of the resolution of your textures and your screen resolution. check your vram load before you blow up you game with 4k textures until you own a 3090 or 3090ti.
I made a quick comparison with the mod I used until now. Speaking of "darker roads" this mod here is my new favourite and realy the best I´ve seen so far. I wanna share my screenshots.
@RickEnid Don't know if its still relevant to you but i think its Boston Natural Sorroundings and True grass but i could be wrong about True Grass. I would also recommend A Forest which is a top tier greenery mod
