Giddy building is now unlocked via a quest'ish type thing: Head to the Vault 111 Exterior and walk around a bit.
Also, many of the requirements/components have been changed.
This is fully to make the whole thing a bit more palatable for the "Teh Ummersionz!?". Well, not "fully" fully, but at least a little more so (and honestly, it does make a bit more sense this way, heh).
Bethesda does not allow direct copies/importing of any game assets used in any previous Bethesda title. If you want to use these assets you must make them 100% from scratch. (this is mainly referring to the horse requests in this case but includes any others from TES/FO)
We do plan to include more types of animals once we get the framework established and working the way we want. This is the initial testing/proof of concept mod.
Suggestions are still welcome of course, we just can't directly copy anything from other titles.
Plans include: (current list, may change as we progress) -- horses (these are not lore friendly since FO lore says they are extinct but many want them so...) -- insects (if we can get them to work/look right) -- cats/dogs (couple diff versions of each) -- brahmin/radstag (brahmins are a bit fat for this but we will try to put them on a diet) -- any other cool/interesting critters we can make work
Just so its easier for anyone else looking for the next step after being told to go to the Slog. Head east towards the small river once you get to the Slog. Go past a bus and down to the water (if you are looking at some toxic barrels, its more to the right of that) and pretty much in the river is a old car with the toolbox inside it.
Did anyone else get a constant barrage of notifications in the top left of the screen after installing this mod that are nothing but either ":)" or ":("?
Because I'd love to know which one of these damn mods is doing this, and it showed up when I was working with giddyup buttercup related mods >_>
Will this ever have a command option like dogmeat to stay in one place? It's annoying that the horse keeps running around all over the place. great mod though, won't ever delete it in my load order.
I really like this mod and the idea behind it. First of all, different Giddy looks and 2 workbenches. Second, its behavior is cute (since it was a dog's one). Giddy followed me everywhere (idk how to turn this off, lol). Yes, there are weird animations and black screen when you mount/dismount Giddy - no CTDs or bugs - so that's tolerable. It was easier to navigate the horse from the 3rd person view, the 1st person view was exciting but extremely nauseous and unpredictable. It was hard to control the horse so I had to switch POV back and forth. Some camera changes (both views) would make this mod truly amazing! I also suggest 2k or 4k textures to make Giddy a stunning horse. Despite all that, I believe that this mod is promising, fun and nice for screenshots/videos, so I recommend it. Author brings some joy to the Commonwealth!
LOVE THIS!!! There is a mod where you crraft it as a grenade and throw it and ride it, but I like these better, and the huge one..so awesome! The dogs and cats too!! I was wondering where you are in the first two photos...that place looks like somewhere I would like to hang out other than the destroyed rest of the world...LOL. thanks for your hard work on this. So grateful. ;)
