Lore friendly mode, so thank you.

Tiniest issue I'm having -- and it's so minor as to only be an issue every so often -- her hands periodically revert back to vanilla coloring. It's very odd. Still, definitely worth having this mode; endorsed.

This and her chair are always in my list. Sanctuary just isn't the same without them.

I don't really get why they changed it

Because the Propaganda team steps into the project after Concept phase, and they are the ones who do the segregation (counting skin colors, injecting the woke ideology, etc)

Because it would be "offensive and racist" to suggest that the main chem addict for the game be a Black person.

I just want to say: THANK YOU!!

It had always bugged me that Mama Murphy, as an elderly white woman, never seemed to match her voice, demeanor, or how she looked both aesthetically and artistically. So, when I found this mod, I knew that I had to install it.

I spent maybe an hour?? in-game and the difference was definitely apparent. Why Bethesda had scrapped this idea to begin with baffles me, but I understand why they did. Especially, with the political climate back in 2016, but they could have done a much better job with how Mama Murphy looked as a white woman who is a chem addict.

So, thank you. For taking the time to create this mod and posting it up here. This mod has a permanent spot in my Fallout 4 load order :D!!

If only we could get an african american woman to do some new voice acting for this character. Don't get me wrong, the original is great but it just doesn't fit as good as it could.

Wasn't there a mod that changed the whole Concord 5 to look like their concept art?

You have made an extremely good copy of the concept art, very nice work.

I can understand why Bethesda probably dropped this version though, the voice actor does not sound like an African American lady so that is one probable reason, another being that the game and company would have been attacked by people looking to accuse it of stereotyping or even racism (I think they are a bunch of ghoulists myself, joking aside controlling the ghoul's would be like controlling zombies so that is a potential as well).

So what if this Mamma Murphy was really a GOOD cult priestess (with followers), what mysterious quest's would that unlock and could it play into a battle of good and evil against the vile forces behind the Dunwich cult site's from both fallout 4 (Dunwich quarry with it's hidden human sacrifice site and unique knife - the raiders at the two quarry site's could really be evil cultist's and descendant's of the Dunwich cult) and fallout 3 (Dunwich building and related quests including human sacrifice at point lookout and another unique knife) perhaps with a third faction the Abbey of the Road (Christian sect only mentioned except for one travelling nun/missionary in fallout 3 point lookout) as her ally, somehow I think you have pried the lid here and that Mamma Murphy was actually originally intended to be a far, far more interesting character with a whole paranormal quest line and just maybe this could inspire some future mod's to try to restore or recreate such dropped content, I certainly hope so.

    Interesting.

I don't know about the whole "she doesn't sound like an African-American woman" point. If I had to guess they probably did the artwork first, decided to make her white, and then gotten the voice actor for white Mama Murphy. They could have easily gotten a voice actor for a black Mama Murphy, they just chose to make her white later in development.

Since I saw the conceptual art of this character, I have fallen in love with it. I loved it, but it was a shame that the version we had was not similar at all.

This is why I love this mod, because it improves the design of Mama Murphy very much. Especially if it is used with "Mama Murphy's Chair Redone".

Thank you very much to the creator for this mod.
