This was one of the three things that bugged me with the robots. Thank you.
Now I just need a mod(s) which does something about being able to build a robobrain head without the key part, the brain, and/or fixes sentry bots shrinking if put on guard duty.
EDIT: There's also the fact that robobrains are basically human robots, but player created ones are just a simple AI. They should've made them unique robots with personalities, like Jezebel or those in that vault in Far Harbour.
Heya, just to recapitulate ( sometimes i'm a bit dense like that ), with this mod I can now practically create any 'bot from scratch at the 'bot workstation even if I don't have any salvaged 'bot parts... but I still can build 'em like vanilla intended? Meaning there're options available.. right? Provided I have the perk requirements o'course! If this works as I think it does, i'm all for it . Thanks and cheerio. Edit: Btw, I like the way you name your file Automitron..that's one way of "owning" the title you can even trademark it now .
Yes, I did not remove any build options. The mechanics of the workstation are unchanged, so you get the same build options in the robot workstation as you would before, it is just that the perk requirements are changed. Because those skill checks are only for building new parts and not installing them you can use any robot parts you loot to upgrade or build robots. You would just be limited by what robot parts you get as loot drops.
This mod doesn't touch the Robotics Expert perks (which Robot Home Defense does) and Robot home defense doesn't touch Automatron DLC content at all, so I don't see any conflicts. They should work fine together.
