This looks really nice. Does your mod also change the color of the HUD itself from yellow to white? If not, how did you manage that in the screenshots?
Yes it does. The PA HUD colors are controlled by textures, which is why the pipboy and hud color options in-game don't affect it.
There is an ini setting for the actual pipboy color when using power armor (for your map and inventory and the like). You can add the following to your Fallout4Custom.ini and your pipboy while using PA will match these textures.
Thanks for this info. Just for clarification, which ini are you referring to? Prefs or just normal Fallout ini? Also, does this mod just retexture the dials and such and not touch the see through metal base? Asking cuz I'm using a mod that makes that part almost transparent.
And I have that string of ini settings in my Fallout4Custom.ini. If you don't have a Fallout4Custom.ini, you can simply make one. Name it that and anything you put in it will overwrite the applicable setting from the other two.
If you don't want to do that, I believe you can place it in the main Fallout4.ini file, but if it doesn't work, I guess try the prefs one.
These are far better than vanilla but is there any way to make the texture non-transparent? It doesn't make any sense if the readouts are in front of you and it doesn't work if they are a reflection, because that means the read outs would be turned away from the characters face and that makes no sense. That isn't a criticism of the mod author just a criticism of the original design in general.
If you mean the transparency of the dashboard, there's a mod for that. Removes transparency of the entire dashboard. These textures will work with that.
If you're talking about the glass effect on the dials themselves... no. As I said in my description, I lost the PSDs for these textures and I have no interest in remaking them. Especially not for specific requests. The glass effect looks better than just having straight holographic displays, imo. It's not a direct reflection of anything but a simple glassy effect over the whole dial so that it doesn't look like an empty speedometer with nothing but a needle and background.
I'm not knocking your mod at all, I think it is gorgeous and I'm using it on my next go through, I meant the transparency of the dash board. It was a complaint about what Bethesda were thinking when they designed it. If the controls are in front of my face they would be solid. If they are a reflection of something inside the helmet which means the information on the dials would be pointed away from my face so I couldn't see them. You know what I mean? The original design of the power armor helmet makes no sense. No, your glass effect on the dials is awesome, I love the way it looks.
Oh, I didn't take it as an insult either way. Everyone has their preferences.
But yeah, there is a mod here that makes the dashboard opaque. There's also one that removes it entirely so that only the gauges are visible. My mod works with both of them.

If you install one of those and my dials suddenly don't work, it probably overwrote something, so just re-install my dials and let them overwrite whatever's applicable.
Nah, that loop represents action points, not the ammo counter.
I had a hard time deciding which icon to use there, and just settled on that one since it seemed vague enough. I was going to replace the "AMMO" above the ammo counter with an icon as well, but that was before I lost my PSDs.

I put them on top of anodized black steel and hex carbon fiber power armor. LOOKS DOPE!

anyway this looks really good, but I already have a different PA hud with a different color, so I will have to really decide if I want this more.
welp can't hurt to download and endorse anyway.
