I was feeling particularly productive today. I have updated the main version to also include:
-Fusion Core Explosive Ejection "Fusion Core ejected and primed for detonation!"
-reused old battery sounds by layering them over the sounds for Starting and stopping sprinting (beeps)
-No Fusion Cores Available "Critical Warning! Fusion Core Auto Loader is empty! Please contact the nearest supply station for emergency delivery!" (every 15 sec)
-Fusion Core Replaced "Used Fusion Core has been replaced. Fusion Core Auto Loader on standby."
I am out of time for the day and have things to do. I may have time to update the shortened version next week.
Is it possible you could add an option to make the power armor a little more talkative? Like, in Fallout 3 has the one Medical Power armor that has it's own A.I.L that actually talks down to you somewhat and speaks in a more rough and gruff military tone. Is it possible that could also make a noise upon you exiting or entering the armor - as in saying like the HEV suit in Half Life upon exiting the armor - "Have a safe and productive day," or entering it making a similar comment about it? I think this would give this mod some more depth and make it even more interesting to use because it's almost as if the Power armor sort of cares about the user. I guess a similar theme to Titans in Titanfall.
This is an excellent idea, however, that may require more knowhow than I have considering I am an extremely casual modder. I would suggest you take this to the mod request forrums. Let me know if someone makes the mod. I would surely try it.
can you make an optional file where they are .wav files. i like to make my own personal sounds just by editing .wav files since idk how to use the creation kit
I am a highly casual modder. The tools you need are the simple use of Multi XWM for archive repackaging and a free online voice synthesizer you can find through google. I used fraps to record the resulting audio.
Not sure if it's a bug but whenever I exit power armor I get told that, "Fusion core power is nearly depleted! fusion core auto-loader is active." Even when the fusion core is above 50%.
No that's not a bug. Its bevause the game plays that sound when entering and exiting the armor. If I knew how I would have the game point to two new audio files that I would make just for enter/exit.
That just seems lazy on Bethesda's part to not include a unique sound for entering power armor. Then again it might be because they ran out of time to develop it.
Capo, That was pretty much by design since Bethesda wanted to use the same beep beep sound. It only becomes obvious when you change the sound effect as I have.
Doesn't seem to work well with mod-based PA. Vanilla armors are fine, but if I do something like the Construction or Institute Power Armors there's no voice spare the enter/exit lines.
np. lmao. That reminds me of a time I had an explosive shotgun and kept hurting myself with it. Thats when I decided to try setting it up for a thinner spray and a short scope. Upon trying that out I discovered that if you throw a silencer on it you can spray huge areas with little explosons from a distance without being discovered. 15pt of aoe dmg is pretty low but its extremely fun when it spreads out over 40ft from 120ft away. lmao!
The short version is completed and uploading as I write this comment. It will be available for download within the hour. I might expand this mod in the future, and do other audio replacement mods since I just discovered Lazy Voice Finder by BowmoreLover http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24309/? . I haven't tried it out yet but if it does what I think it does, I'm going to have allot of fun messing with sound files.
Nice idea. Is it possible to expand and how would the files be named? I would like to try to install a few voice lines of Titanfall. For example when entering "The Controls are yours" and when leaving "Take care out there Pilot".
There is a couple of notes in my readme about how to do it yourself. Its super easy: Rip with a bsa extractor(only to see what the name of the file is), Record, clip, convert, replace.
