    I'm confused, the caverns were already connected. With careful planning, I was able to build a vault which extended to all caverns and entrances. The key was to build the long tunnel segments in the connecting passageways first, otherwise it was almost impossible to line up with builds in the caverns.

    So what exactly does this mod do? Maybe an overhead map showing the vanilla cavern system and your changes would help better describe what you've done.

      In vanilla vault 88 the only way to get down to the water pump is through a long tunnel of subway tracks.
      These tracks are going slightly downwards and you can not not fill this tunnel with vanilla vault parts, as the vault stars are going down in a much steeper angle.
      This means that there is no way to connect the water pump with the vault generator just using vanilla vault parts, you would have to use powerlines or conduits, or modded content of some sort.

      Actually, there is a second tunnel to the water cavern. I was able to make a fully connected vault.

      Here's a quick video tour of my vault, all caverns connected with vanilla vault sections. Like I said, it can be done with careful planning.

    The double vision/distortions are because you are removing hard coded objects in the cell. What is going on is that Bethesda built in render culling into those walls so our GPUs are not rendering things in the cell we don't need to see. Its for performance. Its also why there were issues with mods that cleaned away buildings in Sanctuary Hills and other locations and made objects and textures disappear. If you do a search safely removing Pre-Culling you should find the answers you are looking for. Unfortunately the mod that is suppose to fix some of this has gone hidden, so its an ongoing issue with little in the way of fixes. So until you figure out how to fix this, you might want to reconsider the way you made your mod.

    You can cause this to happen really easy in Vault 88 by simply temporarily disabling a rock or wall piece in the cave and then standing in the area and looking around. So you have to make these kinds of edits very carefully.
