    What's up with the Fort Strong Utility Tunnels? If you use "tcl" in there, you reach an NPC called Trevor Bowser, but he doesn't speak.

      I also have the same problem, but I haven't installed this mod, I don't know what it comes from. indeed if you know anything about it.

    I'm not really a fan of weapons like the Machete or Baton using combat knife animations. It just doesn't look good. Is there any way to change it in FO4 Edit?

      There is, you just have to change the attack speed to medium. The fast attack speed is what causes the animations, as most fast weapons in the vanilla game are knives and the developers couldn't be bothered to sort weapons by weapon type instead. Keep in mind that this will obviously slow down the weapon.

    in vanilla F4 you can get so OP with melee weapons
    Strengh and Endurance, few Perks and you have i Life Regen like hell, in combat use Chemistry-Perk and Jet (longer slowmotion) for fast Strikes and without mods or other chems you make 200+ dmg per hit wich is more than a vanilla granade XD

      Sure, but while u run to enemy i can deal 300+ dmg with vanilla 0.44 Kellog`s and perks/chems just with 1 shoot. In real-life human can survive after 1 shoot from 0.44 (not in heart or head ofc), bleed but survive. But one good smash even with machete, even on torso, can kill. Even if not good it will be minimum the same as with 0.44 shot. 
      In NV was good wpn balance. And in F4 melee is underrated.

    Great mod everything works.. The only issue i'm having, is that i still have the vanilla animation? :(

    I don't know if its conflicting with any other melee mod, if there is any. But I think the damage is ridiculous overpowered. I started a new game and grabbed a knuckle from a raider. Without the knuckle I had 9 damage. OK, but on the knuckle, it increased to 34 damage. Granted I had the 1 rank of iron fist, but my pistol had 25 of damage. When I put the power armor, my unarmed strikes went to 74 damage. That's a bit much, don't you think? I was only level 5. Is this right?

    This mod for me doesnt really do anything other than make certain weapon draw animations sound like the combat knife's draw animation.

    vanilla melee weapons still does the same damage, uses stock animations. Is it a load order thing? I just sorted it with LOOT. Should i leave it at the bottom or what? What could be interfering with making it work?

    It was load order. Power armor also breaks animations, reverting them to default. Damage values are still effected tho.

    Couple questions, if you have the time:

    I play on Survival and don't use VATS. I have pretty much given up on melee in despair. I have tried some other mods and made tweaks myself to try to make it viable, but I have failed.

    - The biggest issue I was seeing is multiple opponents. Even with the perk that let your attacks be AOE, it's just impossible to take on, say, a pack of Ferals. Which I think is ridiculous, if you're fully kitted in combat armor and have a juiced up shishkebab or something. The major issue is that the "block" is absolute crap. It's a twitch-test parry. And while you block one attack, you're hit by three others. And you can't keep your guard up.

    I realize the big dramatic swings is a factor in weapon speed, since the actual animation determines what's hit by the weapon, buuuut... I really like the flaming swoosh of a Shishkebab xD. Do you think it would be viable if I removed the animation change from the .esp, and just boosted the animation speed? (Is that possible? I haven't tried editing animation speeds...)

    Edit: just saw your post a ways down that the only way to change attack speed is with new animations. As in, shorter animations? I have a mod that increases the attack speed of everything to "Very Fast" so there's no built-in artificial delay, only the animation is a factor. I thought the animation itself was also sped up, but I could be wrong.

    Really the biggest frustration for me was that if you were facing more than two opponents, you were toast, and the melee just feels bad and clunky. How well does melee handle groups (of melee) with this mod?

    I don't want to waste ammo on a bunch of ferals when I have a flaming sword

      Yeah it alters DLC weapons too, but this particular mod should be really easy to make a vanilla version of so I'll do that later today
