Hey Leah, brilliant mod especially the rock, I'm gonna use it to make my own waterfalls, the possibilities are endless tbh.

I love it, another excellent job, many thanks for sharing, endorsed of course

i has an idea! using a ballistic shield mesh (there's one or two on the nexus i believe), make a shield deployer! great for those ambushes in downtown boston (on survival...with hardcore mods...and unleveled enemies...). another one is use a transparent hexagon platform, makes it seem more like an actual hologram...

I haven't had much luck using 3rd party meshes for my holo-projections. I'm sticking with vanilla models for now. There are quite a few barriers (gunners and brotherhood) that could be projected, though.

How about a cube that looks futuristic enough to be a projection. And maybe a timeout after the holo thing disappears again, like it's running out of energy.
Besides taht a nice idea, I like the fade in effect on the rocks.

Hello, this looks very interesting , I was recently in spectacle island trying to think how to build a bridge of any sort to either the castle or warwick farm, using console commands n such with base but modded, even googling to see what others have tried there isn't anything on nexus ..
    Just a couple of questions,
1 even using the gun to make ramps bridges n such can things be snapped to them from building mods or building mode?
2 Do you think this could be used to build a successful bridge the castle / warwick farms to spectacle island , without being in build mode / Barrier line and have npc's walk across ?
3 This just needs fo4 base game , and no other dlc's ?
    Thanks - tracking

      1. No, regular build stuff won't snap to these
      2. I don't know if NPCs will use them as bridges or not
      3. No DLC required.

THanks for replies, I couldnt get it to go across like I hoped, and just for me it seems too much messing around, sometimes it needs to build from sea floor up !!...
I don't have it anymore , it was fun to try tho !!

Hello, I chose the road one and tried to build a road / bridge trying very carefully to keep things relatively straight and minor level but , wasn't going to solve my bridge problem from warwick farm to spectacle island would take wayyy to much and no certainty any npc would use it anyway, but since i downloaded it , I'll still endorsed it, it can only get better , right ? Thanks

Very interesting- a version that 'projects' the VR blocks from the Far Harbor Memory sequence would be cool.

Curiously, because of the way modding works, you would be required to have far harbor to play with such a mod.

This could be the start to a great mod, it reminds me of GLOO Cannon from Prey. Maybe a couple of texture changes to the barrel attachment and perhaps the projectiles.

I tried to add "holo" projections of what you were shooting to the muzzle, just kind of floating above it, small enough to not be obtrusive. But when I shrank the models down in NifSkope and pasted the models over (sub-branches with the textures and all) all I got was purple textures, both in the CK and in game.

Rather than fight with the textures, which in my experience, is a nightmare, I went with editing the dn_commongun to give the weapon a name that would override even a legendary prefix. I have NOT tested this mod with any sorting mods, so I don't know where my naming falls in those categories, or if I need to make a compat patch, or what?

Add a glow map to them to make them look "Holo"

Unfortunately, I know nothing about texturing models in Fallout. I just used vanilla models of basic statics for the holo-projected "shapes". It was the only way I could get the models to fit their target boxes. Every time I tried to use my own model, I would shoot through the outer edges like they weren't there, and I couldn't "deactivate" the items unless I was targeting the center of the item. Something something NifSkope I don't understand, all I know is, I use vanilla models, it works.

If someone with more knowledge of the modeling side of things wants to take it apart and give it a glow effect, more power to 'em. :-)
