Very easy to use actually. For those who are unclear what to do: After installing the mod, you can assign someone to use you armor and weapon workbenches, which will be set to remove the sound glitch. Build a workbench, assign a settler or companion to it, they will use the workbench for a moment and then the turret sound is gone. If the settler is assigned to a shop, you may have to reassign them to a different task first (I had to do that for a settler working at a chem station) before they will use the workbench, but that seems to be the only thing one needs to be aware of so far. Thanks for the mod!
So does that trick work without the mod or only if using this mod? Bc I thought that's how you fixed the issue in general but I played so long on my last playthru with this mod I may have just forgot it was only cause I had this mod that, that trick worked lol
Finally. This MOD is simply and useful. That "tik tik tik" bug happened once to me affecting Danse. that time has been easy to solve 'cause you can command a companion to use a workstation. But settlers? They do not understand a shit....Now they do!
Thank you big time for finding a workaround to this audio bug kakinotane2000.
I have Cait as my current traveling companion and unfortunately she started using a workbench just when I decided to fast travel. Soon as we got to our destination, there was this sewing machine sound attached to her that I could not remove.
Now I was upset, thinking I would have to lose significant game progress because foolish me had not saved in a while. But thanks to your mod, my companion is fine once more. I would say noise free, except Cait loves to comment a lot. ;-)
Funny thing I discovered is, you cannot assign your current traveling companion to anything while in workshop mode. I had to dismiss Cait momentarily, then I could assign her to a workbench to free her of the dreadful noise.
Either way, great work on finding and putting out a solution that works kakinotane2000! Thanks again.
