Would you consider a version that just removes the dog puking sound, I don't use him because he keeps making a noise like hes being sick every few seconds.
Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late. If you are still interested in this mod then I would be happy to help. If there is any way that you could further specify what this noise sounds like or when Dogmeat makes this noise it may make it a little easier for me to remove. Again sorry for the delay, but I would be happy to help if you would still like me to.
that's not a puking sound, lol. It's the noise dogs like German shepherds make when breathing. The air gets trapped in their mouth and their top lips make that sound. :P I think it's kind of cool.
Strange I have 2 German Shepards live in the house next door to me they are outside in the garden often and ive never seen or heard them make this noise. The animation even looks like the dog is retching not breathing...
i have a german shepard which makes that noise, but he does it as an attempt to speak human language, not because of "trapped air" its really strange, because some of the wiring in his brain exists to utilize advanced communication, but it's very primitive, or not entirely complete
In testing out the mod this was based on, I found that certain "Legendary" weapons would not actually hurt Dogmeat. It was strange that my explosive .44 and double-projectile shotgun had no effect, while my Deliverer (10mm pistol) would injure and trigger the whining. Too bad this mod is the same as the original, where whining while injured is still there. His AI, as are most companions, is so bad he is always injured and needing a stimpack. Welp, time to give up on using him in this game.
Curious if this includes the sounds he makes when he gets hurt or only idle? Great regardless! Otherwise I'm curious if you could give me a quick pointer on how to edit those out. I can handle them, but I have a friend who is very sensitive to dogs getting hurt and had to vomit during Season 2 of The Walking Dead game. I really appreciate your work!
Hey, sorry to get back to you so late. If you haven't found out already, this removes audio from Dogmeat while he is idle as well as in combat. The only remaining whining noise you will hear is a sound when he is downed and in need of a stimpack. I could not find out how to remove this one noise, but this one sound is considerably less unpleasant than the other noises that he used to make which I have removed. I would suggest you test the mod out for your friend, and for him especially I would suggest the full version in contrast to the lite version. If there are any issues or extra sounds you would like to remove, let me know. If you would like you can send me a PM and I'll try to go more in-depth regarding how to remove different forms of audio, otherwise, if it isn't too big of a hassle or it simply has a high demand, I will do whatever I can to assist you or do it myself.
Hey guys, I just learned that my mod is actually being used by people. For some reason I don't receive notifications for it. I'll try to respond to any questions that I receive after this as well as the questions that have been asked prior to me posting this, although I do understand I may be getting back to them quite late at this point. Thanks for the support.

Gonna try the Lite first, but I have a feeling the full will be needed.
