Can you fix the bug where the edges of the scope are transparent and not covered by the black texture? Here is my scope... look on the very far left/right. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=554858794

My Fallout4.ini has this line too: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\
Any ideas why it isn't working for me? Thanks.

Yeah, the gap. I will double check on what Zeyphir said. I will keep you guys posted. Thanks.
Still no luck, the gap is still there.
I also double checked and bEnableFileSelection=1 enabled.
Does this mod work with our HUD type mods, maybe that is conflicting with this scope mod? I have a number of other HUD mods.
As long as no files overwrite ScopeMenu.swf, it should be compatible with any HUD mods. I'm using a couple myself, actually! Is your Fallout4.ini read-only? I haven't got a clue why only this mod refuses to work, but maybe setting it to read-only will do it.
I did a main menu music replacement once, and on literally every song I threw at it, it'd replace the main menu theme. But with one specific song, it would only play on the main menu if I was in-game and exited to main menu. Gamebryo is still unstable as f*#@ apparently.

I like this fix, thanks for this! Although something I would really like to see is a fix for the scope borders not taking up the entire screen if you use a higher than default FOV, or if you use a non-standard resolution.
For example: I use FOV = 90 (1st and 3rd person) and I use a 3440 x 1440p monitor so that is my resolution. When I scope in with a sniper scope / recon scope the black part around the scope does not cover the whole screen. It only covers 2/3 the screen. So I can still see the game around the "edges" of the scope overlay. Is it possible to fix that?
Wow, that's really shameful on Bethesda's part. You probably can, since the black border is a graphic in the ScopeMenu.swf. Read my previous comment about editing SWFs to get started. I'm sure you can figure this out yourself! If not, just lemme know and I'll see what I can do.
Before/After comparison image would make it clearer.
But what really bugs me about the scope, is that I can't make out the lines when pointing on something dark. Would love a white point in the center or thin white contrast lines around the current elements.
Can you point me in the direction on how to edit the view? Is it a config file or an image file?
all menus are SWF flash files. it's pretty dumb but whatever. the files are found in Interface.ba2, use BAE (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78/?) to extract them. Scopes are found in ScopeMenu.swf use JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler - https://www.free-decompiler.com/flash/ - to decompile and edit the SWF. all the graphics are flash vectors, so you can't just replace them with a bitmap image, since the dimensions aren't right. you have to edit the vector points manually until it looks how you like it. about the white dot - i tried adding new vector points, but was unable to save the edits i made, for some reason. probably a limitation in JPEXS.
Thanks for the info! It helped me a lot! You should look into fixing the recon scope as well. I've already fixed it and turned the colors of the middle part red so that it's more usable in the dark. I could just give you my version of the file if you want it.
Fixes how? My scopes seem fine, is there a bug some people are experiencing? Or is this a fix by adding zoom steps for medium and long scopes? 'cause I definately need that.
it varies from scope to scope but if im not mistaken its like 90% more or less of the scopes in the world do not have the bottom line under the middle of the scope.. and if a scope is s sutch then its most likeley zero'ed wrongly
cause the middle line is used to see where to aim (yes along with the side ones but having the middle one makes it 3 times easier to scope your target in and hit on the first shot.. in real life anyways : p) depending on how far away they are ofc
What I hate about scopes is that the screen goes black before the aim appears. It just ruins everything for me. So I never use scope. Prefer reflex, since the aim is really fast and intuitive.
Could you make the scope work the same way as the reflex sight when activated? No black screen?

Hope someone implements the idea. I'd do it myself if it were a simple texture but I have no idea how to work with flash files.
