Description
The vanilla texture for the industrial wall lights annoyed me beyond belief. Especially in the early days where we hadn't mods for settlement building and that light was one of the few options. My thoughts was "I'll wait a while and if noone else do it I do it myself". I didn't found a replacer elsewhere yet so I made my own.
Because I have no talent at all these textures aren't better nor immersive. They're less shitty than the vanilla ones. I think that nails it. So don't expect to much. I took the texture from the HD DLC and scaled it to 4K, replaced the glass and pasted 2 layer of rust over the metal parts. That's all.
I've included textures for clean, dirty, scratched and one for corrugated glass. Available resolutions are 1K 2K and 4K. The variant you choose will affect settlement industrial wall lights as well as those found in the game world.
Just use your favourite mod manager. The mod comes with an installer where you can choose one of the 4 variants and the texture resolution. Every option has a large preview picture so you can easily compare the different variants and texture resolutions. Maximize the installer window to see the picures at a higher resolution.
If this is your first mod you may want to watch the tutorial from Gopher to get started. If something should still be unclear, just drop a comment and I would be glad to help you out.
Known issues
The top of the lamp with corrugated glass looks quite awful. I tried to align the glass to the shape of the mesh but it looks like the UV map has to be edited in the nif to get it right. That's the reason I included alternate texture designs.
