VATS/VAFS Enhanced on the Deliverer doesnt seem to work. It says 20% AP reduce and 20% Slow Time but it uses 15 AP per shot like other pistols. The extra time slow effect doesn't work either.
I suspect this patch isnt up to date anymore. Anyone else got this problem?
That's probably due to how Horizon removes the legendary effect from VATS enhanced legendary mods. I forwarded Horizon's changes, but that probably also broke VAFS changes to increase slow time. This would be broken in vanilla Horizon too I'm pretty sure. I'll see if I can address the issue.
Could you explain the Concentrated fire fix to me a little more? The nerf and especially the "easier to stack damage" part? I'm asking because my character kind of revolves around VAFS. Specifically a wacky build with high perception and agility, focusing on precision shots with pistols and shotguns.
VAFS gives concentrated fire a 10% damage boost to all shots to the same limb (in or outside of VATS/VAFS) compensate for VATS normally giving +5% crit chance per limb. Each successive rank of concentrated fire allows the damage boost to stack one more time so rank 3 can give you +30% damage to a single limb. This is pretty excessive in Horizon so I wanted to nerf it. Unfortunately, the default VAFS implementation doesn't have a way to do this without overriding the script, so that's what I did. I made a new VAFS concentrated fire perk script and now it only grants +5% stacking damage for a total of +15%.

Hey man, just want to say thanks a ton for making this and keeping it up to date. I have yet to install VAFS or this patch, as i'm still setting up my game (or rather, re-setting it up after semi-starting over cuz i decided to switch mod managers mid way through), and making a patch for this has been in my mind often, which is something I've been dreading. I imagine it's one of the more difficult patches to make, at least for someone like me. I've spent a very long time making patches for other mods & Horizon and it's nice knowing I have the patches available that you've made, even just for if I need a reference to see how something is done in a similar situation / with a similar mod for when i get stumped.
I thought about uploading at least the "Better Mod Descriptions" mod patch i made, as it took FOREVER, but i'm not totally confident I did things correctly with a few+ records in particular. Anyways, thank you very much!
works fine with 1.5.4 - few things - crit meter doesnt hide 80perc times - i dont mind that, would be ok, if it didnt hide at all - slow mode very rarely doesnt deactivate, if getting pushed or reloading, happened like once per few hours
Question: this automatic crits addon, it disables manual crits? Because it seems like that, so far i noticed - or crits in horizon are so low, that i wont notice them much
makes all game way better, VATS is just so fail...
The two issues you pointed out are with VAFS directly and not caused by this patch.
For the addon, Horizon be default enables a chance for random crits if you have the right perks. For balance purposes my patch removes that random chance (since you now have manual crits that can be triggered anytime, even outside VAFS. The new addon re-enables random crits from Horizon.
Some people (myself included) prefer to use VAFS primarily for the slow down rather than the manual crit, so this addon tries to give best of both worlds.
Ok after longer playing, i think its bit too much OP with melee weapons. I dont even have that 200% speed perk, only 100% speed, and about 4 other perks, which slow down vafs, and macready's perk. So it could be like 160% speed. Katana crafted 20% armor penetration - third rank sharpening, not highest. Oh and 5 str and 11agility, no drugs. Legendary deathclaw with star, mythical deathclaw, most op synths or mutants... with ultra light armor, everything dies in moment, 2-3 hits, they wont even hit me at all, and looking at my AP, i could take one or two more, for sure. Only thing i didnt manage to kill this way, was ancient behemoth and mirelurk queen (unable to get somewhat close to them, glitchy hitboxes). So in future i better avoid melee things, it doesnt seem balanced, also feels so dumb, after playing Automata or even Skyrim with some good combat mods, FO4 melee is just bad joke... Either way, not going back, VAFS rules, i think Horizon should implement something like this by default, maybe included with time limitation, like VATS has now.
