This isn't a blanket patch for all melee weapons. I had to manually edit each weapon, so it's just what's in the base game.
BUT, that doesn't take very long, and I like Mike Moore's melee weapons, so I went ahead and made a patch for the MCAM collection. It should work on individual files IF a.) the weapon form names are the same and b.) Auto Melee is after them in your load order.
To be honest, I'm not all that familiar with the limits and capabilities of FO4Edit. I started modding after the release of the Creation Kit and mostly use FO4Edit to clean up my ESPs before uploading. I don't know about copying the fields, but the tag you need to change is under DNAM -> Data -> Flags -> Automatic.
yeah but pipe wrenches make me sad, Because of Bioshock when I found one for the first time in Fallout 4 and was thinking "I will kill EVERYTHING with this wrench" I killed Big Daddies (thats right plural) in the formerly mentioned game, but in Fallout 4 I hit a raider in the head and thay say "Is that it?" why don't you die when I kill you. Melee in FO4 is waaayyy too nerfed it make me sad.
I'm having an issue with it. You know how most melee weapons have two swings? One from the right, and one from the left, which will activate if you mash the button? With this mod, only the initial swing happens, repeatedly.
I'm more of a sneaky sniper / sharpshooter, but I just had to applaud the title of this mod, even if it made me have a Butcher Pete flashback. Since melee weapons don't use ammo, this is one case where "automatic" attacks with one button press would be welcome indeed
I was able to add it to boxing gloves. This mod does nothing but make melee attacks automatic rather than single. The pushback you'll have to look to a different mod.
A simple idea but a very good one, the game has like all modern post console era game's suffered from a bias toward the button bashing controller design and this is actually a decent fix for the PC community, less broken mouse button's and less RSI (repetitive strain injury) for mouse users, also useful for controller users that are getting a little board with the bashing of those button's.

Probably just needs an update as it's quite an old mod.
I just saw it and thought I try it out for fun and when it didn't work I thought I let you know, that's all.
