Just a little heads up: In the entry for 12.7mm ammunition, the Short Name (the one that shows up for ammo type under a weapon's stats) is "12,7" with a comma instead of a period for the decimal.
Damage seems a bit low, considering the vanilla .44's base damage is slightly higher (45 vs 48). Also, in my game an Advanced receiver .44 has considerably higher damage than the Advanced receiver 12.7mm Pistol even though the Advanced receivers for both seem to have the same effect (+75% Damage). Not sure why that is.
Nice work! Great to have this classic back, again!
I know this is an old post but I noticed that shortname bug as well. I'm using munition and 12.7mm Pistol - Unofficial Update and I can't use the ammo because of this bug.
I seem to be having the same issue. Also using the 12.7mm SMG mod by Bwones. Also using munitions and for some reason there's two types of 12.7mm ammo. One that weighs 0.22ish and the other, that the smg uses, weighs 0.44ish.
Unrelated, but I'd love to see a recreation or port of the Crusader Pistol for FO4, it's a pretty cool-looking gun with a wide variety of attachments including conversions to cryo and incendiary rounds.
Does this gun benefit from the Penetrator 2 perk? That is, the perk with which .50 cal and Gauss weapons can shoot through walls? My reasoning is that 12.7mm is basically the same size and power as .50 cal. According to my search of the forum thread, no one has asked this before, which is surprising considering that's a "must get" perk for stealth builds.
All bullets work with penetrator, what you have is a mod that stops other bullets from passing through walls. Maybe you can use FO4EDITOR to ad 12.7 bullet using guns to the list of guns that can penetrate walls.
Lol, 12.7mm pistol is the same power as .50 BMG? On what planet? You haven't lived until you have fired a .50 BMG from a Browning M2 MG. If you ever get the chance, drop everything you are doing - you won't regret it.
Tripod - around 35lbs Receiver + Barrel - around 85lbs 120lbs+ of machine gun with sandbags anchoring those tripod legs - and that .50 BMG round still lets you know who's boss.
The picture showing the 12.7 next to the Vanilla 10mm shows how dumb of a design that actually is for a 10mm pistol. They're literally the same size. Let that sink in.
Njord is talking about how a gun that shoots a 50 cal bullet is as large as a weak, massively oversized pea shooter that is the vanilla 10mm pistol. not the diameter of the bullet
lmao it's true, I 3D printed a life size FO4 10mm pistol based on the in-game model, and it's comically large, but the ammo mag is so small a .22LR round wouldn't have fit in it.
If this mod ever did get a redux version, I sort of wish it'd be chambered in the already existing .50 caliber ammunition that's in the game as its same thing rather than adding a whole new ammunition type to the game that is only gonna be used by this one gun. Though at that point, you'd probably have to rename it to the .50 Pistol to avoid confusion.
.50 cal rifle rounds (.50 BMG) and the 12.7mm rounds that pistols use are completely different then the ones fired out of rifles. Ever heard of .50 AE? Same reason the .50 BMG, and 12.7 mm are seperate in Fallout New Vegas.

Instead instant drama, can begin to imagine how they got banned perhaps.

Edit: Nvm, it's just a gun with rounded grip and no rail, I looked at it closer and it doesn't look like That Gun.
Could be worse by video game logic.
