Used this thing FOREVER, but had to remove due to switching to a moody set of meds and needing to install the Pip-Boy Flashlight mod. Apparently, no matter the load order, it overwrites the gobos so we can safely say it's A Conflict :') I'll get back to it as soon as my desire for horror and dread wanes a bit.
This is my favourite pip-boy texture, can't believe it's not more popular. My enb makes the glass on the radio/rad dial way too bright but it's an easy fix. For anyone with the same problem; open the mod in a file manager, find PipBoyGlass01_d.DDS, open it with an image editor that supports .dds files and increase the transparency.
For those struggling to get it working like I was, here's how you do it:
- locate PipBoyGlass01_d.DDS and PipBoyGlass01_g.DDS on your PC (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\fallout4\mods\PipBoyRemake-23422-1\textures\animobjects\pipboy for Vortex) - download and install Paint.NET (Free) - open both files in Paint.NET - Press F4, this will open the Opacity Options - LOWER the Opacity to your desired values (I went all the way down to 30 for my setup, this may vary for you) - Save or 'Save as' the changes that you've made and make sure to use BC7 sRGB compression settings while Saving. - Copy the edited files to (...Fallout 4\Data\textures\AnimObjects\Pipboy) and replace the existing ones. - That's it. You should be able to see the changes in-game now.

Love this texture and reflection. But "in some dark lighting the glass used on the rad and radio-frequency dials seems rather bright, almost luminous."
Why does anyone use the Pip-pad? It's the same as the Pip-Boy, but without that unique 50s style. You should also imagine, how the easy the Pip-Pad is lost in combat.
This is the best skin mod I've found for the pipboy, at least in my opinion. My only slight gripe is that, in some dark lighting the glass used on the rad and radio-frequency dials seems rather bright, almost luminous. Possibly my light settings/mods rather than this mod though.
Realistic? But wouldn't a pristine un-touched pipboy be more realistic given it's been in a sealed vault for 200 years? I can understand dust on it but rust?
due to moisture trapped in the vault, and live people in there for a good while it would be more realistic for SOME rust to have taken effect over 200 years, considering they weren't in a vacuum.
can someone be kind enough to show what it looks like with out an ENB active at the same time.... thanks.... as the mod author clearly forgot to turn it off.
